Only EastEnders for me, although I have watched all the "main" soaps before now.

River City is genuinely the only soap that I actively watch each week.
I sometimes watch Eastenders and Coronation Street but do so very intermittently so haven't included them in my vote. |

1st one is Coronation Street watched it since I was little.
2nd Emmerdale watched it since it was called Emmerdale Farm with the Sugdens 3rd Doctors passes the time during the day . So good story lines in it. |

Can I ask if you don't mind why EastEnders remains the soap of your choice and favourite?
Plus when EastEnders is as its best it's phenomenal viewing. |

![]() Just so long as the poll has the correct type of question and easy-to-understand options ... which probably rules me out!

They can sometimes paint a better picture than the actual threadsIt's like the EE one, if you go by posts on here you would think everyone hates it. But when you go by the poll most people seem to be enjoying it. |

I've only recently got into Neighbours
Been watching Hollyoaks for years I sort of dip in and out of Eastenders but I think it's the best it's been in years. |

Emmerdale - My favourite because of the location, I like almost all things Yorkshire, can paint light and dark well; love the characters, normally consistent and I personally think when it gets it right, it's the superior brand
![]() Coronation Street - Similar style to Emmerdale, it's lighter, like the characters, and the references and puns used. The writing can be clever; honestly when its on top form imo it's right up there with Emmerdale. EastEnders (very much depends on what's going on) - First soap I ever experienced my families favourite so I'm always around it somehow, it's definitely a show I have to be in the right frame of mind to watch or else... Good at what it does though when it gets it right. Doctors (When I get a chance) - Like the fact it's unique, in the sense that there are a core of characters the Doctors/Practitioners yet they bring in different actors/characters to play out different stories. The acting on the show is normally at a good level; good at what it does, good at storytelling another of what I would call a soap-soap in altered formatting. Fair City - Like most of the characters involved, it's got a smaller cast which is good and bad, the acting and storylines aren't always the best, but it has a decent vibe about it and is good right now. River City - I would describe as a mixture of the big three UK soaps in style, smaller cast, great set, believable and good characters. I really feel it benefits from not being on too often, as the consistency remains more than on other soaps, feels like a soap-soap. Home and Away - Again the set/location, the characters, I like the sensationalism when it comes to H&A just think its a better version of Oaks, it can do powerful drama well, yet it can be fairly light. Neighbours - Good characters, storylines, writing is normally really good, Neighbours is another one of those soaps that gets the consistency right. |

Just Emmerdale at the moment, though what I have heard of Eastenders is tempting me.

Regularly
EastEnders - Have watched from the first episode Emmerdale Took it back up earlier this year because of the good things I had been hearing and am now confined to a wheelchair so am unable to get out much Red Rock - I was glad they started showing it in the UK and am thoroughly enjoy this little slice of the Emerald Isle Occasionally Casualty and Holby City I only catch them occasionally and it's quite often because the schedule jumps them all over the place in Scotland |
