worth what they are paid . Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly's salary is £525,000, that is per episode: £18,750 per episode. I personally don't think either of them or any of the judges are worth being paid more than the professional dancers. I watch the show to see the dancing not for the presenters or the judges.

I do not know where you get your information from but the £ quoted is totally incorrect.

Divide your figure by 2 and cut a bit more off, and your closer....

Please do not post totally made up salaries.

Anyone can see the fees for BBC top earners in the BBC accounts.

People watch for all sorts of reasons, but I agree that the BBC pay arrangements are unfair. This show contains the two extremes: the judges who get paid a fortune for sitting on their backsides for a couple of hours each week , and the pros who work long hours trying to teach celebs of various abilities the technicalities of dance. The pros know they are easily replaced and that prevents them from demanding higher pay, whereas the judges have agents who run rings round the BBC while negotiating an obscene amount of money for their client.

It's not made up, it's on various websites. If you can see the BBC's accounts then perhaps you could let us know the true figure.

Love the quoted website, you have to answer questions to access it, that makes me worried before I start.

Try The BBC.

Tess is on £250,000 for SCD.

"So the figures quoted below may also include payment from employers other than the BBC."

It's a common trick of the tabloids, they get a rough idea of what someone might earn (often over several years) then word their headlines and article to make it look as if they are being paid that by the BBC.

The BBC have not published individual salaries and it is unlikely that any of the people concerned have said what they earn. If one tabloid gives one figure then others usually give a higher figure.

Most of Chris Evans' wealth is from his days in commercial radio and TV.

Always worth bearing in mind some of the sums paid by ITV and CH4 which drawf these figures and of course they do not have a money tree at ITV and CH4, the money comes through advertising i,e. just about every product and service you pay for.

To put things in perspective, Tess has been co-presenting the BBC's flagship program for over a decade with very successful ratings If she had performance related pay then her pay would be good.

Presenters like Tess can get paid huge sums for personal appearances and corporate videos.

You sort of miss the point regarding the OP's post, the overpaid or underpaid principle still stands. Changing the argument because your google search revealed something different from others doesn't mean you should go around accusing people of making stuff up.

Since the BBC will not disclose the salaries of presenters earning more than £150,000 until next summer then none of the figures are official, including the ones you quoted.

Wether Tess is worth £250k I agree is up to debate, but the quoted sums are totally incorrect, there are threads in this Strictly forum this series that gave the correct figures and a google search, on The Sun and The Daily Mail will find the correct figures. This also was confirmed by the BBC.

Poster has give as evidence, - a website in Wales that requires you to enter a competition to read it, I personally wouldn't click on links like that unless you have a good internet antivirus protection, and are happy to give personal information to a third party Unknown site.

There have been threads here easy to search for, this autumn and it's been in articles in The Sun and the Daily Nail this autumn.

Saturday night working?
I'd give her £200 plus clothing and make-up expenses.

Although,in the voice of Basil Fawlty "she's a waste of space".

I think she has been pocketing the clothing expenses and making the clothes with a big pair of scissors and a brutal mindset

It does seem silly, but they have to pay high salaries otherwise commercial channels will tempt them away with more lucrative offers.

I'd have thought £50,000 per series would be enough.

So you are even more outraged by the people on ITV etc earning millions?
