So Adam is a solicitor and Todd used to work at one. I assume they will end up being colleagues at some point? Maybe Adam will set up his own practice? Surely it's too much of a coincidence if they don't go down this route?

Adam and Todd would be a brilliant pairing of characters.

I assume Adam trained in Canada?

Will his qualifications be transferrable to the UK?

I don't know. I can't remember - why did he go to Canada originally?

Here's our answer.

Just had a quick look on Google and Adam will be able to practise as a solicitor in the UK so long as he takes part in the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme which seems quite a lengthy process and involves exams.

I think he saw an ad that said drink Canada Dry. And he took it serious.

It was never explained. Originally he moved to Portsmouth in 2007, but when William Roache was written out in 2013 they wrote into the script that he was going to visit Adam in Canada. Just one of these instances where relatives are living in other parts of the world for unknown reasons.

I could see Todd and Adam going into some sort of partnership. Plus Adam is obviously going to be a villain (due to stealing that car) so Todd may become his partner in crime.

Thanks for all the info.

So maybe Adam trained in the UK initially and then again in Canada so can practice in both countries? That's a way around it, anyway

The way the writing is going, I'm sure Todd and Adam will join forces at some point - fingers crossed!

Given that Adam appears to not be gay or bi-sexual, I think that would be copying Emmerdale a bit too much! However, anything is possible in soap...

Well, Robert wasn't gay or bisexual originally in Emmerdale, but that didn't stop Kate Oates.

That's what I mean - it would be an exact copy
