EE: Lucy & Peter birthday acknowledged but not Pete Beale's anniversary
Ian and Jane commemorating the Beale twins birthday, but no mention of the legend that is Pete Beale who died on the same day they were born.
Is this poor continuity by the writers? Just seems strange that there was no mention of Pete, given the alleged importance of being a Beale. |

I don't think you do when anniversaries of births and death fall on the same day. My Mother died on my Nana and my Mothers best friends birthday. On that day now, we tend to commerate the birthdays, visiting the Crematorium as it is when Nanas name appears in the Book of Remembrance and celebrated Pam's birthday. We then concentrate our grief for Mum on her birthday, which is when her name appears in the Book of Remembrance.
You could also argue that they are remembering Pete all the time since Peter was only called Peter because he was born the day Pete died. |
