As we know ratings have dropped, and its hard to see what else they can do to boost the show. Theyve tried changing the panel last year and it didn't work, they've brought back an old panel and it hasn't boosted the ratings...

As we know they have signed a deal for 2 years, is it time to fill one of those years with an 'All-Star' lineup of old contestants?

We're in a position now where they'd be able to get pretty much any of the old champions to appear (apart from Steve Brookstein obviously!) I think even Leona would take up the chance of 10 weeks of primetime promo now. There'sonly really Little Mix, Olly Murs, One Direction and James Arthur who have better things to be doing.

And that's before we get on to some of the 'forgotten gems' like say Jahmene, G4, Ruth Lorenzo who viewers enjoyed but have slipped off the Radar. Throw in a couple of joke acts like Wagner & Jedward and surely you've got a more entertaining show than now.

the show could then come back a year later with a properly fresh batch of new talent, not the same people they've turned down several times already.

I remember when they showed 'World Idol' Simon panned it so I don't think he or ITV would want to go down a similar route with this show

if there was going to be an all star show then only the acts that were not successful or as successful would appear on it or not big anymore e.g. assuming we put them in the same category ignoring their current age

BOYS

Frankie Cacozza
Paul Akister
Shayne Ward

GIRLS

Lauren Platt
Alexandra Burke
Diana Vickers

OVERS

Wagner
Chico
Stevie R

GROUPS

5AM
Reggie & Bollie
Same Difference

Some are too old for girls/boys category now but putting them there as thats where they were originally. I was also trying to put in as many different seasons as i could (although cant remember a lot of contestants)

Dont think people would watch a show full of poor winners or those that went out before the final

Sadly it'll just be the pets that come back that weren't very good.

I'd like a Second Chance series for the acts that showed potential but the show really crapped on them.

If anything, I think 'All-Stars' would make far better mentors than this year's sorry lot.

Maybe they could take inspiration from SYTYCD and have previous contestants mentoring the acts, dueting with them, etc. and the judging panel would be there to just give feedback and decide who deserves to go on, and they would be impartial.

I'd also be interested to see how some of the older acts got on with the help of the backing tracks and other trickery they've had in later series, to be fair to some of the boybands and girlbands in particular many had to sing live with little to no help, whereas now the backing track does half the work!

I love this idea! Although, no joke acts please!

It would be amazing for some people who need promo, there's so many who have gone on to release amazing songs, but didn;t chart well.

This would totally work!
