Madge Mitchell. She hasn't appeared since 2002 and is 114 now but there's every chance she could return yet. They could recast her if necesary

Ronnie, although not so much in the last couple of years. 2007–13 Ronnie was one of the most complex soap characters ever created (in my opinion). And to me, is one of only a few post 00's characters to come close to what could be an EE legend along with Kat and Max.

Actually she reappeared last year, the fact that she had been dead for 14 years was a mere technicality.

Now, the other Grant Mitchell that lived in Summer Bay and in a previous existence went by the name of Henry Mitchell when he wasn't caterwauling about Mona... whatever happened to him?

If you were to add Sharon and Tiffany you would have to add Kathy as well. Kathy was part of the Mitchell family for longer than Sharon and Tiffany were back in the day.

Same for me! Looking back, it's a real shame they didn't kill her off in the NYD car crash. It would've been such a great ending for her and I think she would've been very fondly remembered. Her almost death made for a great 'OMG' moment, and her actually dying would've been even more shocking.

Grant, Phil, Billy, Roxy, Archie and Honey.

Archie was a fantastic villain and definitely my favourite character at the time.

The Philth.

Even if he is like a broken record at the moment, Phil has been one of the most interesting and dynamic characters in the history of soap and is arguably a television icon in his own right. And despite the fact his character has grown to become one of the most diabolical bastards of all time, there are still moments where I feel genuinely sorry for him. I think it helps that Steve McFadden is probably the best actor EastEnders has ever had.

All the dead ones - here's hoping for a few more (barring Bill, Honey and Jay) very soon.

Happy Christmas.

I'm not a huge fan of the Mitchells but I did love Ronnie during the Santer era, it's a shame how far she's fallen since those days.

Current favourite Mitchell is Honey, she's really slumming it as part of that family.

Ronnie is the only Mitchell i've ever truly loved as a character. She really has turned into an Eastenders legend the last 10 years and there aren't that many modern day characters you can say that about. I'm gutted she's leaving, but at the same time i'd rather she went out while still remembered with fondness and respect rather than stick around for 10 more years to moan about the bins and who will pick the kids up from school. Samantha Womack and Ronnie have been an asset to the show, and while i'm not exactly riveted so far with the build up to her exit (although i've loved having Jack/Ronnie reunited) i still think i'll be sad to see her go and that they'll be a huge hole left when she's gone, i'm just hoping they'll pull it out of the bag for her actual exit episodes.

Louise is shaping up to be a decent character now they've toned down the bitchiness, she is only supposed to be 15 afterall. With some decent plots of her own she could have a very bright furture on the show.

I've always liked Grant (although his last stint was a bit pointless) and Phil, although it is time they rested Phil and let him grow old gracefully and not have him parading around 'owning' the entire square, some of us remember when he was the nicer, more sincere Mitchell brother.

Who was that woman Phil married to keep in the country? She'd make the cut surely?
