how to stop panny tv auto switching
Hi
I have a Panasonic g20 tv set with a hdd attached so I can pause and rewind the channel I am watching if I want. we use this feature a LOT when we are watching live tv now my problem is my panasonic bw780 dvd/hdd player which is connected to hdmi 1 input. it switches the tv to its imput when it is turned on,when a timer recording is starting or finishing, and randomly when it is switched on. then we have lost the rewinded bit from the programme we were watching on the tv. I have gone into the settings and tried to turn off the auto switching but nothing seems to work. I have tried to switch another device to hdmi 1 but still the same and I use all the hdmi inputs for different devices so can I turn off the auto switching on my g20 |

Search through the menus for a function called Viera Link and turn it off, if it gives you that option. Try both the TV and the recorder.
Viera Link is Panasonic's flavour of HDMI control that allows devices to communicate via HDMI and control each other. |

On mine it's under ....
Setup>Link settings>Viera Link ... Set it to "off" May also be worth making sure it's off in the bluray player settings Also my panasonic auto switches on hdmi 2 which is also where ARC is. |
