Has anyone bought the aforementioned diet and exercise book by Joe Wicks and found it any good? I'm considering getting it as I want to do a good exercise programme and HIIT and the home based weights stuff appeals.
I don't know about the book, or the regime, but if it's in the space of 15 days, I can't believe whatever advice it is to be healthy on the body, regardless of what you may look like on the outside come day 16.
The 15 refers to high intensity exercise sessions of 15 mins. If you sign up to the package it is for 90 days. 3 months is a bit more realistic to see results.

I have to agree. He's trying to market himself as the Jamie Oliver of the health and fitness world.
I borrowed one of the books from the library to see if I liked it, and I found it very good. The meals are easy to prepare (if a little expensive for ingredients, as they tend to involve large portions of meat or fish) and the workouts are easy to do at home. I agree the guy is very irritating though so I couldn't bring myself to watch any of his videos!
Thanks for the advice guys, especially jazzy jazzy and piazza.
I agree he is normally someone I would intensely irritating with his cockernee/mockney accent and naff phrases, but he actually seems a decent enough chap who comes from comparatively humble origins. And what he's doing is actually a good thing in promoting a healthy exercise routine and diet to people who need it.
I need to lose a lot of belly fat and regain muscle lost during illness, and hoping this will help me do it.
I don't follow it to the letter but I do some of his HIIT Routines from his Youtube channel, and I have the first of his books, and so far the meals have been delicious. I don't mind him as a person like some people do, but even if he did annoy me, I'd still follow his routines and recipes because he makes everything as simple and quick as possible, no messing about, not too complicated.

Can you do the HIIT routines at home? I live in a fairly small flat above a couple of OAPs so bouncing about could be a nuisance. Then again, I'd feel a bit of a **** doing star jumps or whatever in the street or the gym by myself.

I think Joe has a YouTube video on low impact HIIT, if not have a look as I did one in a hotel room once and didn't want to make a noise so had a look on YouTube and picked one that looked good (and it was).
Joe's books are good for guiding you on what you should be eating and when, i.e. carb filled meal after a workout, low carb on non work out days etc. He does say though that his books aren't personally tailored which his program is, so it's just general info. I've made some of his meals and liked them, and I did some of his workouts and liked those too, but I lack motivation sometimes lol
Have bought the first book and intend to start in January.
Will be writing up weekly plans before then and a shopping list.
Going to try it for a month and see how it goes.
