I honestly don't believe that the producers are clever enough to manipulate it to get a desired winner, the judges ceratinly aren't, and even if they were what purpose would it serve? Nah it's not WWE.
Is Strictly manipulated? Yep, but only in the sense of slightly scripting and tweaking 'story-lines' and manipulating things to get the most vote revenue, viewing figures and entertainment possible.”
Hahhaahahaha. Trust me, you don't get to produce a big show like Strictly if you're not smart enough to know how to manipulate the end result.
What would they gain? Ore's a BBC star. They want someone to win who's on the BBC.
And the judges are certainly smart enough to know how to vote - they all wear earpieces for a reason. They know the scores as they go along so they know what score they need to give out to get who they want in a certain position.
If you don't want to believe it, fine, but having worked on a similar show myself I can tell you it absolutely happens.
