We would all like to know that, but i would hazard a guess that they get to keep their jobs for a start. I do not believe that most of what comes out of the judges mouths has not been rehearsed and 'guided' by production. What they say can influence voters just as the number of points they give influences the positions of the celebs on the board - which in turn influences who goes through and who ends up in the bottom two.
Why did Craig say that Claudia's QS in the DO was worthy of a 10, yet for the identical dance earlier he only gave her an 8? He did not say if there was anything different between the 2 dances. But the lower score decided her position on the leader board.

Craig gave Claudia a 9 & Ore the 8

Ore and Claudia both scored exactly the same for their QS 38 points.

Len and Bruno gave Ore and Claudia 10's
Darcey gave Ore a 10 & Claudia a 9
Craig gave Ore 8 and Claudia 9

Don't be ridiculous - they're not pretending to be objective, they're specifically asked for their opinion at every stage - there is not and never will be anything objective about opinion!
