in my opinion was that opening pro dance. Graceless, meaningless, badly choreographed and poorly performed (some of the timing issues!). What has happened to the idea that the pros got a chance to show us classic ballroom and latin skills and gave the celebs something to aspire to? The endless dumbing down of dancing skills to meaningless and ugly gyration to music is, as Len would say, getting on my wick!

I agree too. It was rubbish. But it was nice to see Pasha get a bit of a role in it.

Another here who thought it was an awful routine that was badly performed - mind you I'm not that keen on showdances. A real disappointment considering it was the final Sunday show.

The really horrifying thing about... a sequined, big-hearted, feel-good show.

Oh .. I really liked it. It reminded me of that perfume ad where Vanessa Paradis is in a bird cage. The music was bit rubbish, though.

and yeah, It takes a lot to horrify me and I doubt it would ever happen on Strictly.

I didn't think it was horrifying. Just a bit messy and confused. The costuming didn't help either.

When I first saw it I wrote on the show thread 'The dying Budgie'.

I think the problem is having a guest choreographer for the prod dances each week the majority of whom are not from ballroom and latin world and it just doesnt work for strictly - the week one pro dance and blackpool one both done by jason were far better

Worst one of the series, after the first minute I was thinking surely the producers cannot be thinking of bringing in Burlesque as a new dance.

It was pretty pants wasn't it! I'd totally forgotten about it with all the ~drama of the DO.

I prefer when the pros do latin and ballroom. I understand it must be nice for them to do something a bit different but keep it to maybe once a series!

My Strictly horrification moments are still Widdies Winslet rumba with the bucket of water and foghorn sound effect and Peter Andres hoofing 'jive'.

After his opening number in Musicals Week, I don't ever want to see Anton again. Seriously. THAT was horrific.

It was a lovely example of what Len might call, " Faffin' abaht". Big prop, backing dancers and feathers. Audiences probably loved it. ' Oo look she's in a cage. Oo...now she's flinging herself about' etc. Gypsy Rose Lee as a budgie. Never mind dancing ! If there's not a pantomime horse in the Christmas special with two pro dancers in it I'll be amazed.

Maybe the chariot race from Ben Hur would be a good number, or Santas' reindeer on acid.
