I love the singers, but they did no justice to that song.

I thought it was loosely based on a very powerful Sia video, Elastic Heart, which (IMO) is a far better example of modern dance:

And this is the original Chandelier - same dancer Sia used in a period where she wouldn't show her own face:

My Strictly horrification moments are still Widdies Winslet rumba with the bucket of water and foghorn sound effect and Peter Andres hoofing 'jive'.
Tristan and Jenniifer's Abba routine with the rowing boat!

Oh, good one! The bacofoil debacle. I have some fond memories/stroke nightmares about Richard Dunwoody, but luckily I can't remember too clearly what he was doing ..

The really, truly horrifying thing?

Kevin's paunch in that golf sweater. Why? Ugh!

I had a dream where Lesley Joseph (sorry Lesley) had a horribly displaced ankle/compound fracture. And another one where Brendan came back to life as he was being sent for an autopsy.

No more Strictly for me after nine o'clock at night
I suspect it was that 2nd sherry - affects me that way.
I didn't like it. I would rather see Anton and Natalie doing a foxtrot.
I would rather see Anton doing his 'moves'. That & Ed's gangnam style have been the highlights for me.

I thought the cage and costumes were awful, but the dance itself was perfectly fine - if they'd been wearing proper dresses and ballroom shoes it wouldn't have been far off an American Smooth.

I thought the cage where at one point looked as if Jeanette was having a gynaecologist exam not nice

Made me laugh the' upside down raised fanny position'

Not a great idea, both ugly and rather funny.

I thought it was great, very dramatic. Different than the usual Latin and ballroom. Loved the feathers too.

It was the worst pro dance this series. Didn't they say on ITT it was a new choreographer, if so it should be her first and last attempt.

That move is literally all I can remember of the dance. That, and the men coming on with feathery arms.

Sick of the site of Janette's crotch, some truly ugly positions that should be confined to the bedroom.

The young dancer is Maddie Zeiglar from Dance Moms.

I liked the Strictly routine; as much as I would love to see some quality ballroom or Latin routines, I think by this time, people would be complaining they were getting boring. Overall, I think this year's pro routines have been excellent.

Agreed. And if that was supposed to be Pasha's front and centre dance for the series, then I am deeply aggrieved.

They did.
It was o.k. but not one of the best routines this year. It didn't build as a routine for me, the story was non-existent. The audience didn't stand at the end, I think either.
Janette got out of the cage without help, so why would she not fly away!

blimey, your bedroom is sounding distinctly more interesting than mine....

i thought it was a bit of a nod to matthew bourne's swan lake, but the only one who carried it off convincingly was pasha.

Fan of the site of Janette's crotch, some truly sensational positions that should be shared in the bedroom

Well I enjoyed it. The dance that is, not Janette's crotch

in my opinion was that opening pro dance. Graceless, meaningless, badly choreographed and poorly performed (some of the timing issues!). What has happened to the idea that the pros got a chance to show us classic ballroom and latin skills and gave the celebs something to aspire to? The endless dumbing down of dancing skills to meaningless and ugly gyration to music is, as Len would say, getting on my wick!
The horrifying thing for me every week is no Sir Bruce to entertain us.

You look at the report of the DS member who attended she said "they had to do it twice as there was not enough crowd noise the first time "

Says it all really so uninspiring
