Not quite.

Its perfectly possible that if Claudia had been above Ore on the leaderboard (as everyone thinks she should have been) then the dance off might have been Ore/Danny.

We can't say for certain that would've happened but it's possible.

The judges over-scoring Ore and under-scoring Claudia could have made the difference.
I agree. I'm getting a tad annoyed at people who say that not enough people voted for Claudia and that is why she was in the dance off. It was not as simplistic as that.

BIB we don't know that.
We know he didn't get the lowest public vote. So either Danny or Claudia did.

I am sure if I am wrong someone will correct me.

I think this result is indicative of how Claudia has been treated all season so I'm not surprised at all.

Consistently under marked compared to others especially in her AT, QS and AS and I think at the end of the day the judges just didn't seem to warm to her as much as they did with Ore and Louise (not their fault of course).

I just knew once she was in the DO she was a goner.
She got saved with that very ropey jive in the DO against the arguably better-on-the-night Greg. So maybe it's just QSs that are badly treated, rather than Claudia...

Still, if she had had enough votes, and Louise hadn't and all that.

It is as it is.

What other reason could there be?

Not true. The judges scores were irrelevant. Ed Balls proved that.

Claudia's rumba was easily the worst dance of the night. You can't get through on the basis of one good dance and one crap one at 2 Dance stage unless your name is Lisa Snowdon.
I don't remember her falling over in one of her dances or slipping. She had a decent rumba and an impeccable QS

Agree. Louise makes a mistake, all the judges mention it, yet she gets three 9's and a 10. Ore makes a mistake and doesn't really dance an AT and yet gets three 10's. Claudia does makes no mistakes and does a brilliant quickstep, the judges really praise it and yet she doesn't get even one 10.

Totally ridiculous scoring

I feared she did.
Great relief that she's gone at last.

Or Ore. Last night he had a good quickstep, although Claudia's was better and an absolutely awful supposed Argentine Tango where he walked, posed, lifted Joanne, kicked his leg, walked again, posed again and Joanne danced and pulled the most awful faces

Agree, which makes it even more laughable when Darcey was booed and she told them this is the semis we are going to be picky!!!!! She's lost all credibility as far as I'm concerned.

You're right, but this is a discussion forum and if a FM thinks that a certain couple's place on the leaderboard affected the result, then there's no problem with them sharing that view.

What other reason could there be?
That Ore should have been lower on the leaderboard, which may have produced a Ore/Danny DO.

I think people like Ed Balls are a different kettle of fish. Their popularity can over-turn the judges scores.

At this point in the competition though the judges scoring is much more important and relevent to who stays and who goes.

She got two! Seriously, between this and the dancer who supposedly "fell over" in their dance it's obvious people are just making stuff up at this point.

In this instance the judges scores were very relevant. It's explained quite clearly in the post you replied to.

yep...even ed balls couldn't beat the wrath of revel horwood's low votes in the end.

MAYBE CLAUDIA SHOULD JUST COME BACK WHEN SHE'S 40, ASK TO DANCE WITH SOMEONE NAMED CLIFTON AND TURN ON THE TEARS EVERY 5 MINUTES.
That is a sure fire way of her getting to the final!

Your opinion only. And Strictly ATs are all rubbish apparantly so there's no bench mark, it's a matter of taste.

I thought he was great. I thought Claudia's Rhumba, whilst not bad and a damned good try, was not good. And I KNOW the Rhumba.

Nope and Ore is consistently way over marked.

Of course she stood a chance. All she had to do was work on the issue that the judges had been asking her to for a month or so - and focus on dance, performance and connection.

I don't think she was the worst dancer (second to last last night) but they were the worst partnership and she was the worst performer.

Well if we were all like you and set up 8 different internet accounts to vote for Claudia, we wouldn't be having this discussion would we?

She did have connection in the rumba but the judges obviously wanted her gone so just came up with any excuses to score her less than their three favourites.

I'd agree her jive was the only dance that was overmarked but how she didn't get at least one 10 for her AT and.
It didn't deserve it. There wasn't enough dance content even though the air dancing was impressive.
