There was definite surprise about being in the dance off from both of them.

There was a sort of pause after the question from Tess where I think they were struggling to say something.

With only four couples left perhaps they should not have expected to get through.

Yes, they were surprised, which makes me think they have probably been topping the public vote most weeks - Obviously something went wrong this week but I rekon they are still "on" for the win next week.

Upset, disappointment, nervousness .? Any of these can leave you lost for words .I saw no surprise at all I saw disappointment which Claudia also showed .A very natural reaction

Yes, I was surprised to hear Oti saying she was 'shocked' to be in the dance off!

Quite - would you expect people to seem happy they weren't popular enough with the public this week? It's always disappointing & upsetting to be in the dance off, they had the same normal reaction

And were incredibly sweet and gracious to Claudia & AJ as you'd expect.

I doubt they know who has been topping the vote or the producers would tell them. They were surprised though and were unable to disguise it.

It was the realisation that people do not appreciate their hard work and that perhaps it's all for nothing.

I thought Danny was very humble, and more worried about Oti's feelings.

What did you expect her to say, "I am so glad to be in the dance off, I don't deserve to win"

You'd be surprised too if someone who stumbled in their dance got through and you were in the dance-off. I don't think it's arrogant for Oti/Danny and AJ/Claudia to both know they shouldn't be in the DO.

Maybe be a bit more diplomatic. From a dancing point of view perhaps they do. But Strictly is not always won by the best dancers. This could be one of those years.

Exactly. And he was lovely with Claudia and AJ. But they are without doubt the best dancers. But the best don't always win

After all these weeks of hard training you could see the stress on their faces when they were waiting for the results. I am surprised that they were even coherent, the pressure must have been tremendous.
How can any of us honestly say how we would react under such conditions.

Perhaps they know every word, every nuance and every flicker on their faces will be judged, analysed and interpreted by the mind reading public and found wanting. Enough to tie anyone's tongue.

I was saying last night, because of his looks, I thought he'd be big headed but quite the opposite; I really like him.

I'm not mind reading just surprised at their reaction. God they are humans and we don't always react as we should in every situation.

No , what you said was " there was definite surprise " But in fact you cant see anything definite because you cant read their mind
