Is this cabaret garbage from both finalists what the kiddywinks are listening to nowadays?
I suspect not. Which begs the question, who on earth is this nonsense aimed at?

The punters that like MOR music which is mainly those that vote for these rubbish acts.

'One Day I'll Fly Away' is a great song by a real (jazz) singer Randy Crawford it so happens.

And didn't Jonas Blue not make the chart this year with a weak version of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit 'Fast Car'?

@ Jeref. So Randy Crawford who sang with The Crusaders sings shit songs. As you're so fond of saying, you don't know what you're talking about.

Maybe, but that was 40 blooming years ago. My granny can just about remember it. It still wasn't a cutting edge song 40 years ago. Utter garbage.

Where's the like button when you need it? You'd have thought the forum soul/jazz/r&b expert who loves pop would have recognized a Randy Crawford songs, surely? (And probably a Whitey one as well)

It was remixed into a 2010s style song....

Randy Crawford was granny music then and still is now. Not relevant to today's POP market whatsoever. Grannies like this not modern kids. So why dress it up as a search for the new POP sensation?

Now if there was someone like Tracy Chapman on here I would be watching.

If you want cutting edge perhaps the XF isn't for you.

Yep, I'm sure they'll still be playing this Little Mix crap in 40 years time. Give me Randy Crawford any day over this racket

Nobody does, which, along with the fact the winners are normally pretty average and badly manufactured, is why the latest Dolly the sheep like clones from the xfactor conveyor belt rarely make it, unless they're good looking.

The whole point of it is to find a new pop performer is it not? Why do the judges always bang on about how they can see someone "selling lots of albums or singles"?
Wasn't the scottish girl being constantly told to "be more modern and move around a bit more" etc? Cabaret for grannies is what we have now.
