Britain is the most corrupt nation on Earth
Dotheboyshall
11-12-2016
“If I asked you what is the most corrupt place on Earth you might tell me well it’s Afghanistan, maybe Greece, Nigeria, the South of Italy and I will tell you it’s the UK...

...“It’s not the bureaucracy, it’s not the police, it’s not the politics but what is corrupt is the financial capital. 90 per cent of the owners of capital in London have their headquarters offshore.

“Jersey and the Cayman’s are the access gates to criminal capital in Europe and the UK is the country that allows it. That is why it is important why it is so crucial for me to be here today and to talk to you because I want to tell you , this is about you, this is about your life, this is about your government.”

Tell us something new about the financial sector.

His definition of a "corrupt nation" is bizarre.

A definition of corruption that doesn't involve government?

I dismiss his opinion.
----

Surely the most corrupt democratic nation there has ever been is the USA as it is today.

That article is absolute garbage in my opinion.

Britain regularly comes high up in the list of least corrupt countries in international surveys. Indeed in the transparency international survey mentioned in that piece Britain comes 10th that is 10th out of 168 least corrupt countries in the world.

Still if you want to run your country down, rely on dodgy newspaper articles that can not even quote correctly and reports the utterings of a "mafia expert" then I guess that tells all we need to know

I can see where he is coming from seeing as The City of London has an unelected representative in Parliament to look after the banks interests.

He completely ruins his own valid points being read or taken seriously by starting off with a big whopping lie that the whole UK is more corrupt than the mafia. How to lose your audience!

If he'd just stuck to the truth that british financial institutions and the City of London (mainly in property) have more dirty money and tax avoiders money than any other country in the world his viewpoint might have been taking seriously

I can't think why but disgraced International Trade Minister Liam Fox came to mind.

Why doesn't this include unelected unaccountable judges and lawyers acting out of self-interest delaying and obstructing the peoples will.

There was a thread on this not long back.

Get s grip! The independent judges are the only protection we have against devious and avaricious politicians and the utter stupidity and ignorance of many of the electorate. If you don't know that you have much to learn.

Suppose from that remark (in bold) you are suggesting that those who voted to leave the EU fit that description?

The same organisation that names London as the centre of corruption in the world.

No financial centre plays a bigger role in supply-side corruption than London. "The City of London has become the number-one home for the fruits of corruption," says Laurence Cockcroft, director of Transparency International UK.

Yep, you would've thought they'd be all too eager to shovel these dens of iniquity over to Paris.
Come on Leave Libtards, we need some consistancy from you.

The ability to a job based on knowledge of law. You seem to favour some sort of 'elected' scenario based on your 'unelected' comment. How would that work?

Yep, British finance sector is a classic example of the Neutralisation drift theory.

It's their job to obstruct those who wish to flout the law. That's how you reduce corruption
