Whether she 'should' have been in the final or not, I think we can all agree that Claudia has been an absolute delight this season. Lovely girl who has produced some spectacular dances e.g. Quickstep, AT, AS, Salsa etc and conducted herself so well throughout the show.

I had never heard of her before Strictly but am definitely going to be following her gymnastics career after this. Think she will go on to do wonderful things in the future.

Also think AJ deserves so much credit for their partnership. I know he gets a fair bit of stick on this forum but I think he created some amazing routines, taught Claudia really good technique (remarked on by Len and the judges) and formed a lovely friendship with her. Hope he is back next year!

Congrats to them both!

fabulous dancer. Under marked most dances but Danny was always going to win even if he fell flat on his face

They were both good entertainment.

Lovely thread OP, and I completely agree I will miss them and they have been a joy to watch.

Lovely girl and I hope she goes on to win everything she can with her gymnastics, far more important I would imagine.

Claudia went into this straight from Rio and all of Team GB gymnastics are worth following, They are getting better and better. And Claudia has a great opportunity this year to win a few medals. I am sure the fact that she can not be part of the tour due to training and competition is a big part of why she was favoured to leave.

She has a very good chance to do very well, especially on floor. It will be nice if she is more fluid on beam too.

Their QS and their Charleston hit my top five dances this year

Well done both. Beautiful QS - you went out on a high

They covered themselves well and I'm sure she'll do amazing things with gymnastics career (which is of course way more important than some silly dance competition)

Delivered great dancing and bags of entertainment, which I think is a rare combination - with most of the other couples, it's either one or the other, or neither. At least this means she'll be in the eliminated contestants' group dance in the final, which is the only good bit in the final anyway

After the judge's verdict, she spoke with amazing composure and very graciously when thanking everyone at Strictly. She has been unfailingly generous and unstinting in her praise to AJ - and has remembered to say a kind word about his work every single week on ITT. No gushing, nothing OTT - sincere and heartfelt.

She is only 19 but her manners are absolutely impeccable. I'm impressed.

Quite a few of the other celebs over the years could learn a thing or two from her.

I didn't know much about her before Strictly but I really wish her all the best in life.

She impressed me with her composure and focus. But that's the same with all the Olympians on there (except Victoria Pendleton)

Hopefully she can use some of the moves she has learnt into her gymnastics. She wants to make 2020 Olympics.

AJ I think has deserves a spot next year together with Chloe.

He's gone a solid job in particular managing to overcome their height difference. He did make a couple of rookie mistakes. Overdancing sometimes, but he always respected his partner

Lovely post.

Quite agree that Claudia was elegantly composed despite her departure. She was very poised and mature, leaving aside her tender years. Yet practically everyone on the programme seemed intent on infantilising her.

They were a superb couple And robbed of a place in the final. Continually underscored especially from Darcy who seemed to have an issue every week yet scored 10s to dances with blatant issues.

Unfortunately like the X Factor become, Strictly has become a blatant fix these days and the final 3 were clearly Picked and singled out from early on the leaderboard continually fixed to get a given outcome - even the pros think this is the case!!

Claudia was a great dancer and never given the credit she deserved and AJ has been amazing in his first year and shown creativity and a great love for the show and dance in general. I hope he returns next year

Yes I will go along with that. And her last dance was her best of the series. She leaves on a high and shoudl be proud of herself.

Watching them dance in the results show tonight was a total joy. It made me happy to see. AJ is so talented and his smile lit up the room and Claudia matched him. I thought they were fabulous together.

I can't believe I have to post in this when Ore (and his slip-filled AT) and Louise (and her ridiculous Samba) got through

Claudia and AJ were phenomenal and were robbed of a place in the final. They've brought genuine joy to the show — Claudia is an amazing dancer and AJ is a phenomenal choreographer, I hope we see him next year!

Well done Claudia and AJ!

I never heard of her before SCD . SCD has certainly raised her profile . Not a fan of her dancing but seems a really nice person and I wish her well in her gymnastic career .

She should be very pleased to have reached the semi-finals .

I wasn't sure at first but both have really impressed me in the last few weeks, AJ's come up with some great choreography (tho we got more than a hint of that with the charleston) and Claudia has improved so much as a performer in every way. I'm really glad we got to see her in some 'grown-up' routines and she is a really lovely person, completely genuine and generous when she talks about other people and she's hardworking and focused and determined without shutting out her personality from us.

Really glad she stayed till the semi final, it's the very least she deserved and I'll enjoy seeing her get a proper exit interview on ITT.

Claudia and AJ's partnership has been a delight. They've produced my most rewatched dances - Charleston, AT, VW, Foxtrot, Salsa, Rumba, QS.

I shall be keeping an eye on her gymnastics career now, and AJ deserves to be back next year - fab dancer, choreographer and teacher. Their QS was the best dance of the series for me.

My thoughts exactly. The final has lost a bit of sparkle for me now.

Yes, well done Claudia and AJ. Their quick step was fabulous, thrilling, they both danced like professionals. She conducted herself beautifully, as did AJ through the whole series, despite how hard the judges were on her. She never got the praise she deserved. After her interview on ITT I won't be able to watch it anymore, knowing they're not in the final. The final won't be the same without her bubbly personality and AJ's lovely smile. I look forward to seeing AJ next year, and hope he gets a good partner.
