It's clear that 5am voters perhaps switched to Matt tonight then but even so it was close

Interesting that if it had been "bottom 2" Sara would never have been in the bottom 2.
So pleased that Honey G never topped the vote! |

Well, there was a lot of "vote your own" being hinted at all the time.

Ryan and Sam did better than I might have thought
Honey G was never a real contender Surprised that Matt overtook saara tonight. I thought her version of I didn't know my own strength and the reaction it got would have won it ? Did Matt have a great social media campaign ? He has many more twitter followers than saara Mind you, if Syco want to, they can orchestrate this win I'm sure that the producers, Simon and Syco have some very clever people who have analysed all the past series and finals voting patterns. They will know how to give someone the best chance of winning based on running order, placement of ad breaks, types of song etc. Plus undermining Matt last week to get a bounce back vote, Nicole the assassin very deliberately appealing to nationalism....etc ! |

It really confirms to me now that the judges are told who to send home. Reilly and Gifty would have been saved if it went to deadlock

Wow, interesting results, especially when you compare the lifeline vote with the public vote. Apart from week 1 and 2, the lifeline vote matched the public vote so actually apart from week 2, Ryan was right to get saved

Yes I was thinking that. She would have been bottom 3 that week
![]() A week later she ends up in the bottom two. It's no coincidence. It's sad. |

6.49% over 6.45%, for example... bit silly of them not to specify, though. |

So Ryan was never actually bottom of the vote?
And yet people were getting so angry on here about the lifeline vote 'saving' him when they were so sure that he'd be gone if it went to deadlock. That, right there, is DS all over

I'm a bit saddened that Relley never had any real support. I thought she may have crept into the top 3 in week 1, since 'Shackles' was undoubtedly one of the best performances of the night. I suppose it was to be expected with her lack of pre-lives exposure though.
Saara actually had a lot more support than I anticipated -- not once in the bottom 2! Goes to show what a joke the lifeline vote was. 5 AM's stats shocked me too, I thought for sure that they were pulling through by the skin of their teeth towards the latter stages, but they easily could've won the whole show. God knows why. |

I think Matt's eventual pulling away had more to do with 5AM's female vote going to him, rather than Saara being from abroad. Though that no doubt will have been a factor a few saddos.
What a close series though - super-interesting results. Complete reverse of last year, though it didn't feel like it until towards the end. |
