Before this series started I had never heard of her and tbh she has done nothing to really wow me.

As it stands now she is the only celeb to not be in the dance off so how could she gets so many votes?
Is everyone else seeing something I'm not?

Jamie Redknapp fans? Harry Redknapp followers? Lampard followers?

I had heard of her before and I would guess a lot of others had also heard of her before. I had never heard of Danny or Melvin (or probably several others) though. However, whether or not I have heard of the celebs before is irrelevant to me, I'm only interested in their dancing.

There are lots of people I know who regard Louise as their favourite. There are quite a few reasons cited:

a) she is a lovely dancer
b) she is a lovely person
c) they used to really fancy her when she was a pop star
d) they like Jamie Redknapp so will vote for her because she is married to him

I'm sure there are other reasons.

bit of b) and c) ....but overwhelmingly a) ....she really is a lovely dancer....a delight to watch..

a well deserved finalist, looking forward to seeing her do her stuff again next week

She's currently last on the DS winner poll so the GBP seem to see something that most on here do.

She's a nice person but I find her dances to be quite forgetful and Claudia and Ore were both better than her this weekend.

Being nice. In this age of narcissism particularly in the reality tv genre someone who just radiates a simple straightforward niceness coupled with a love of dance is enough for people to pick up the phone.

This. There's no airs and graces, no over exaggerated 'personality', just a lovely lady doing some top notch dancing. May not be to everyone's taste, but the GBP at whole seem to appreciate her effort.

Beautifully said. I enjoy her certainly.

Danny will probably win and that's great. I am just chuffed to bits that Louise got into the final.

And fair enough - he's done his share of great dances! Louise just resonates more with me as someone who loves dancing as opposed to having the 'off/on' switch.

As much as it isn't popular on here, and not to my own personal tastes, Kevin really knows how to choreograph routines that appear to the general public. It may seem a bit twee and bland and safe to some (myself included) but he seems to keep getting it right with the people that count. That combined with Louise seeming so nice and unassuming, I think a lot of people who don't necessarily use social media would really like her. I think it's really unfair to assume that people are fans of her hubby - I think she's getting votes on her own.

I don't get it personally, but she's a nice dancer, a good person and with a popular pro. It has all fallen together for her and she has a real chance of winning, I think.

It the contrived personality / saying what PR training has taught them that gets on my nerves. Not going to name names but there have been some corkers over the years and it hasn't not been present this year.

id never heard of her either& I find her quite vanilla. I don't think her doing the show has done her any favours unfortunately

Louise was a judge on a tv dancing show a few years ago and she was far from being sweetness and light on that.

It's so funny how we all see things- for me, Louise has never shown a love of dancing. I don't feel like she's ever got lost in a dance and just 'felt' it. But it would be a boring world if we all thought the same!

Well, for what it's worth, I'm with the GBP. I think she is the most graceful and elegant dancer this series, and the only one in the final four that has touched my heart. The only one of the final four to show true romance, passion and love, however understated. She's not my favourite contestant ever, but my favourite this year.

I'm sure she's nice enough but her dancing is so uninspired. That samba on Sat night was an absolute shocker and the Tango not much better. She doesn't convince and it's all a bit clumpy and on the edge of control. It's not a relaxing watch as she rarely looks comfortable in fact she looks embarrassed. She wouldn't be the worst winner but few of her dances would go down in Strictly history as wow dances. Not sure any would but that didn't stop Chris Hollins or Darren Gough.
We all know though that Strictly is as much a popularity contest as a dance contest so it's just as important to engage with the viewers as it is to dance well and though I'm baffled by it she's clearly done that.

Louise escaped the dance-off from the bottom of the leaderboard in the semi-final. The last time somebody did that, it was Chris Hollins. That strongly suggests to me that she has very good support, and as things stand she must be the favourite to win.

Chris was bottom and Louise was tied, not the same.

Not one of them wouldn't have struggled with a Tango set to Glad all Over, the theming and costumes. Talk about taking away the very essence of the dance on pretty much every level. Despite that I thought she was sharp. The samba was never going to be a good dance for her again she managed and got many parts right.

I really do like watching her, I like her naturalness, precision and think she looks very very happy while dancing. So maybe she isn't the greatest performer but she is up there this year as one of the best dancers.

Which is why this show is great - different people see different things! I certainly didn't see what everyone else say in Jay last series, but popular opinion ruled, so he won. For all people say they think Louise looks embarrassed, that's exactly how I felt about Jay. And if the same happens with Louise, so be it! I don't think she looks embarrassed at all - she looks like she's loving it to me.

She was in girlband Eternal, and has since been hanging around the edges of our TV screens/magazines for years.
Her popularity seems to come from the fact that she is paired with kevin from grimsby, can obviously dance, and is an over 40 mom. Oh, and she is nice, so everyone keeps saying.

Kevin is not popular in the least on any sites I go on. I don't trust the voting but then again I never take things at face value. Until they start producing voting stats, I am not believing that Louise is as popular as we are meant to believe. Winner 2016.

I think she is an excellent dancer, very graceful, lovely footwork and she's charming.

I understand exactly why she is popular.

I've always had a lot of respect for her tech, although I find her lack of performance a bit frustrating.

I hope she lets go in the final and does a fabulous ballroom based showdance.

And yet she's never hit the dance off...
