Louise has a certain grace, elegance, innocence and sincerity in her dancing. This combined with what seems to be a very down to earth and unassuming nature is I suspect a major part of her popularity with some of the public.
Different viewers will want different things from dance routines and from the celebs involved. We all look at dance through different eyes and have different feelings through watching different types of personalities. This is a great thing. If we all liked the same people doing the same things in the same way the world would be a terribly boring place. Louise embodies an understanding of that and the vanilla vision in one pair of eyes is the vision of beautiful motion in another. I think all three finalists have plenty of good about them in different ways. I would like to think it is time to focus on that now. What's done is done. Let's encourage the remaining couples to put on the best final they can and embrace the experience. |

Chris was bottom and Louise was tied, not the same.
Also true that a lot of 'celebs' are talking up louise in the last few weeks...similar to the type of support that turned things in favour of abbey clancey. |

Definitely this.

Kevin is not popular in the least on any sites I go on. I don't trust the voting but then again I never take things at face value. Until they start producing voting stats, I am not believing that Louise is as popular as we are meant to believe. Winner 2016.

I think she is an excellent dancer, very graceful, lovely footwork and she's charming.
I understand exactly why she is popular. I've always had a lot of respect for her tech, although I find her lack of performance a bit frustrating. I hope she lets go in the final and does a fabulous ballroom based showdance. |

You might not want to believe that Kevin is popular, but he has made 4 finals, three of them with women over the age of 40 and only one of them with a high profile, so not with ringahs, so he's clearly doing something right. |

It's not a relaxing watch as she rarely looks comfortable in fact she looks embarrassed. She wouldn't be the worst winner but few of her dances would go down in Strictly history as wow dances. Not sure any would but that didn't stop Chris Hollins or Darren Gough.
We all know though that Strictly is as much a popularity contest as a dance contest so it's just as important to engage with the viewers as it is to dance well and though I'm baffled by it she's clearly done that. |

So you don't think family and friends of Jamie etc are voting for her. That's rubbish. |

Maybe not...but internet polls last week showed her well ahead in two, and narrowly behind danny in the other one. The only thing I found surprising about saturday's public vote was danny finishing behind ore too. To win, danny has to find a lot of extra votes this week from somewhere.

Louise escaped the dance-off from the bottom of the leaderboard in the semi-final. The last time somebody did that, it was Chris Hollins. That strongly suggests to me that she has very good support, and as things stand she must be the favourite to win.

Not one of them wouldn't have struggled with a Tango set to Glad all Over, the theming and costumes. Talk about taking away the very essence of the dance on pretty much every level. Despite that I thought she was sharp. The samba was never going to be a good dance for her again she managed and got many parts right.
I really do like watching her, I like her naturalness, precision and think she looks very very happy while dancing. So maybe she isn't the greatest performer but she is up there this year as one of the best dancers. Louise is a solid technical dancer and when she's in her narrow performance comfort zone, I enjoy watching her. I just wish that zone was wider. |

Yeah but it has to be more than that. There seems to be a growing 'celeb' bandwagon behind her on ITT, and her over 40's momsy appeal puts her in front of, say, a young immature claudia or a perceived 'cocky' danny maybe....just saying! |

I think Louise just seems like a lovely person with no airs or graces or an attitude about anything. She always looks so pleased for the other contestants and watching the DO last night she looked really upset for the two couples.
I like how she has just got on with her dancing, delivering some wonderful routines and being just a genuinely nice contestant. I think the phrase 'nice girls finish last' doesn't apply to the Strictly audience at all. |

Surely with that mindset there is no reason for anyone to accept any result they don't like, ever.

Regardless of his partners' ages, it is because he's made 4 consecutive finals, I'm skeptical. I have said before, I think his choreography, although toned down, isn't the best and sorry but its too much of a coincidence to have a 100 per cent success rate in getting to the finals when you've been on the show for four years. If he was an exceptional dancer, I might think differently. He's been damn lucky ..he knows it and the public know it. I'm not bigging him up or his ability to turn around any partner he has.

Ok, I get it - you don't like him & don't rate him so it must be a fix to justify it. Got it. And the Cliftons are so important that the judges, producers and BBC would jeopardise the reputation of one of their biggest shows to facilitate this fix.

I'm really truly baffled that people are implying that the producers love Kevin so much that they would fake the public vote to get him to the final but not to have him win even though they could have done it with Susanna and Frankie and it wouldn't even have looked remotely dodgy.

I wouldn't. Louise grew on me slowly. I went into the series loving Anastacia and Will, then as they left noticed her more and more and enjoyed her more and more. It was a slow burn.

It's a deep, deeep, plan - it could take years. They're just lulling us into a false sense of security. I don't know what the actual object is, but I'M SURE it's there, somewhere.

She reminds me of Ali Bastien (who i loved) in that she has a quiet dignified way about her. For me the difference being that Ali was constantly being criticised by the judges for not giving it some welly and was painted by them as bland and vanilla, whereas Louise is constantly lauded for performances that are either similar or decidedly more tame. At least Ali managed to achieve some stand out dances and perfect scores.

Maybe it's a ploy to keep him on the show until he wins with the shows first octogenarian!
There must be some reason why. I suspect some sort of 'time' problem that means kevin HAS to keep being in the final otherwise, end of the world as we know it. |
