Big whoop.

I am sure he will have the same extraordinary career that all the other sole male winners have had.

X factor is a load of predictable bollux anyway; I saw this coming a mile off. All the little tweens and fangirls voted for the boy that looked like one of the One Direction boys.

He could have sounded like a cat with a throat infection and would still have won. (Although he DID sound like this sometimes!)

And we all know it was fixed from the beginning for the young pretty boy to win.

*YAWN* .......

When is the crap going to be scrapped??????? ....

so surprising that Matt (looks like a member of 1D which is apparently attractive) Terry won (ROLLEYES/SARCASTIC)

Well done Matt, you deserved it

I did not watch any of the series except for last night. I know nothing about their personalities, back stories and previous performances.

I honestly thought Matt was the best of the three in the final.

Sara's voice was not perfect - she was often slightly off-key. The three boys seemed nice and I was impressed by the gymnastics, but nothing really special. Matt's voice sounded great, to me he seemed to be the only one with real talent.

That is purely based on last night's show alone.

Exactly, and I am sure next year there will be a new "Matt" to replace this year's dull male winner.

He won at the last minute because people hated the idea of a foreigner winning. Could have been Bratavio or Honey G and the result would have been the same.

Same here, i watched a few episodes but switched off when Honey G kept getting through, for me based on last night and tonight Matt was my winner.

Saara should have won out of the 2 of them, she was 100 x better than him.

It's just a blessed relief that the whole shambles that this year has been is over.

Nasty remarks. Matt was a worthy winner and has a good voice.

If Saara was often "slightly off-key", then Matt was always "massively off-key". His falsetto in particular is notoriously unreliable when it comes to pitching.

Except he can't smooth down from the falsetto to his normal voice, and leaves a gap each time, which doesn't make the song sound good. Someone needs to tell him how to do it, and to stop being nervous, for what's he got to be nervous about!

Think I agree with you there, glad show is over, and no more iffy falsettos to hear again, blessed relief all round

His voice is only good though if you can handle 50 million different notes in one two minute song with imo abused falsettos that were making him sound like a Mouse sometimes.

Matt is what we get every year, he delivered the safe, boring performances meaning that he never vocally challenged himself as much as some of the more interesting acts do within their own styles.

Nasty? Don't be such a snowflake FGS. I am entitled to my opinion, and just coz you don't agree; that doesn't make it 'nasty.'

And it seems many people agree.

Agree with all those 5 posts. ^ Matt was over-rated, off key half the time, and bland as hell. He should never have won, but it was clear from his first audition that he was being groomed/set up to be the winner. And as there are plenty of millennials and tweens that saw only how cute he was, and didn't see he was a below average singer, who was as bland as sugarfree sugar, he was bound to win.

Pathetic.

Please explain what he did that made him "deserve" it!?

He did exactly what ever one else done each week, he did nothing extraordinary!

He's 23 - hardly been trying to make it for years with hundreds of knock backs to his name 🙄🙄🙄
