Claudia should've been there but either way Danny deserves to win/
Totally agree!

No I won't now bother watching the final.

Slightly strange, as 2 of the finalists were my predictions from the start - Danny and Louise, but the blatant overmarking of "BBC Ore" and undermarking of Claudia (both her dances were better than Ore and that QS was possibly the best ever on SCD and deserved a 40) means I have zero interest now in the final.

I know it's "fixed" every year (Tom over Rachel and Austin was the worst), but that doesn't make it any more palatable.

If there is any justice in this crazy world we live in then Danny should win by a mile.

The only comfort from this series is the end of Len Goodman, who'd passed his "sell by date" even before Forsyth!

Didn't watch the semi final for the first time since Strictly started, and won't be watching the final either - the subtle manipulation of the show's narrative and the not so subtle manipulation of the scoring in favour of certain 'stars' means it just doesn't appeal to me as a format for light entertainment. As a viewer and licence payer, I've had apples out of that barrel before from the BBC and their indignant protests of impartial innocence ring hollow at best and outright disingenuous at worst.
The best outcome is that one of the Cliftons finally wins so the babies can have their bottle and relish their moment of assisted glory, and maybe then next year it can go back to being a fair competition.
Possibly the best summary of the situation I've seen!

At least the judges should mark fairly on the actual dances (Claudia beat Danny in the D/O) and then leave it to the GBP who only seem to vote for their favourite "celeb" and not based on the dancing.

Wish Ed had made it to the final so we could stick two fingers up at the judges and Beeb by making the worst but most entertaining dancer the winner

Yes, I'll be watching and no it's no worse than other years.

Seems to me if your (general your) favourite doesn't get through then it's the worst ever, the judges are biased and so it goes on.

Again FWIW I would have liked Claudia to get through. It's a reality TV show the outcome won't alter my life one bit. Life's too short for all this bitterness.

Yeah I don't remember a worst one.
Last years. That was incredibly boring.

I think it's been a dull series that's limping to a dull final. I would have to watch the final on catch up anyway so will probably FF through a lot of it. If Ore wins I won't bother watching it at all.

Actually my favourite since Daisy left has been Danny, but I can still see - or at least it feels to me - that the overmarking of some and the undermarking of others, to the point it has affected leaderboard order and therefore likelihood of safety or otherwise, has been less subtle in recent weeks. I'm no conspiracy theorist and I still don't believe the producers necessarily have a Master Plan but at the very least, it has felt as though the judges' personal biases have led them to judge on a fixed perception of how they think Person A or Person B should or can dance rather than on the actual dance in front of them. I'm no Clifton Jellus Hateh either.

I'll still watch and, I'm sure, enjoy the final - not least because the judges can mark how they want but they have no part to play in the final decision. It's still a light entertainment programme rather than the fate of nations so I won't lie awake for weeks afterwards wailing and gnashing my teeth if Louise or Ore win rather than Danny. It would just be nice to feel that the final three had come about organically and for me at least, it doesn't feel like that this year.

No, I don't care for all 3 finalists and I couldn't stomach any more drivel from Darcey. The 3 finalists being Ore, Louise and Len. Danny will still get my vote when I know the lines are open
Len???

Never saw that coming!

I really don't care much who wins now.
Louise is a nice person, but her dancing lacks any joy. Ore is the judges favourite for some reason and I just can't take to him, especially when he's faux bawling his eyes out again, and Danny is the professional hoofer.
So no, I don't care if I see the final or not. Very disillusioned with the entire series to be honest.
Agree with all of this and the other similar comments.
None of the remaining dancers thrill me or make me want to watch them - in fact, I haven't watched since Rob Rinder left.
This series and the one where Caroline Flack won, rank with me as the worst, where I could not care less who wins and won't be watching.

Nothing to do with the judges - although, they do have their own agenda and it's very clear that there will never be another Chris Hollins type winner because of it.

No different to any previous year with some manipulation by the judges to get certain preferred couples to the final. I would have preferred Claudia to be there but I will still watch it and just hope that the Clifton pairings justify their place with amazing routines. Every confidence Danny and Oti will deliver, just not so sure about the other 2 couples.

I will watch because I love watching people dance but I will be sad that Claudia is not there. She so deserved to be in the final. Her QS was the best dance of the night and it is disgusting that it didn't even score one 10. Also she danced better in the DO.

I have liked Danny from week 1 and originally wanted him to win. Then I thought Ore deserved it more as he has improved from week 1 whereas Danny was good from the start. Then Claudia became my favourite. I have absolutely loved a lot of her dances and the undermarking and patronising comments by the judges, especially Darcey, have made me angry.

So although I am sad and angry about Claudia I do think Danny and Ore deserve to be in the final. Louise doesn't though. I don't mind or even particularly care who wins as long as it is not Louise.

I certainly won't be voting though.

Shot answer - no!

I'm loving this series and there are 3 great dancers in the final, all with Pros I quite a like too, so I'll be watching happily whilst not really caring who wins.

I will continue to be entertained by the final as I have been by the series.
It will be that bit blander for not having Ed in it, though.

Look at the judges' faces when Claudia is called out for the dance off. Smug satisfaction and a "job done, guys!" reaction. Yuck.

I wasn't strongly into this series anyway, but I'll watch the final and just let the blandness wash over me.

bit of a loaded question no?......but to answer it...no, im not sickened in any way shape or from....and no, the 'bias' judging ...ie, judging that resulted in the show's three best couple heading for the final - has only whetted my appetite for what will no doubt be a superbly entertaining couple of hours of TV...

It scored TWO 10s.
Facts, schmacks. Say something often enough, people will believe it - the idea that there was some terrible Claudia vendetta by the judges doesn't hold up when you actually look at the reality so it's easier to adjust the reality than just accept what happened. That Louise got through because she got more votes from the public.

I think the show is very micro-managed by producers and celebs and pros either accept that or don't. I don't think there is deliberate manipulation to the extent that TPTB intentionally wanted Claudia out and sabotaged her or anything like that. But it does seem from the general consensus on this forum and beyond that certain couples are favoured over others e.g themes, music, dances etc.

I shan't be watching the final or the show anymore. I have said this for the past so many years but this was the final straw. Reality TV is now totally off my viewing, everything is manipulated and it is wrong when people are spending money on voting. It should be fair to every dancer.

I'm enjoying it much more this year. Last year Jay just turned up for the final, danced with staggering mediocrity and won anyway. I rate all the remaining contestants more highly than him so as far as I'm concerned, things are looking up. Claudia was a great contestant and would have probably made the final if Will hadn't ducked out early and the full four places had been up for grabs. But ultimately she and Louise were in the same position at the bottom of the leaderboard and the public didn't rate Claudia as highly.
