I'd go on several cruises in a row, see the world, come home, then purchase a house in a secluded forest somewhere. I wouldn't stay in a hotel (unless it was a cruise, which isn't actually a hotel, but has rooms... lots of rooms).

Assuming that the money comes from a windfall ie that I'm unaccustomed to great riches (-which is the case), I think there is a tipping (no pun) point where a posh hotel becomes uncomfortable for me - the people who work in these grand places can smell new money and although they will always be very professional, they are probably more snobbish than some of the guests.
It was a life-lesson for me to observe the concierge at work at his counter in one of the top hotels in Vienna, he was very selective in who he would respond to first - it wasn't first come, first served but his eyes would first alight on those he felt it was preferential to serve first. But given the choice, I think I would go for nostalgia - The Fullerton in Singapore as it's a landmark building and I remember buying stamps there when it was a post office. I'd give the Raffles a miss as it's a rebuild and like the renovated E&O in Penang, little like the original. But as with most things, if you like it, go for it! |

I'm not really a lover of hotels - but I wouldn't mind spending a few weeks at the Arizona Sky Village. (Cave Creek Canyon, Portal, Az)
http://arizonaskyvillage.co.uk/index.html Near the border of Arizona/New Mexico - approx halfway between Tucson and El Paso Map |

Oh that would be the best experience ever, in fact I'm surprised nobody has set up a mock-up hotel where you get treated like that at reception / dinner, I'd go!

So yes money no object I would choose a luxury cruise, a penthouse suite, and a driver and nice car to take us to various places. |

If money was really no object I'd stay in one of the many hotels that comprise my own hotel chain. No point in staying with a rival. That's the sort of feckless behaviour that could cause one to slip down the rich list.

I didn't stay there when I visited Hong Kong but The Peninsula hotel there I'm told is very special - not least for it's fleet of Rolls Royces used for guest transport.
I also wouldn't mind being in the rooftop infinity pool at the Marina Bay Sands hotel in Singapore during the Grand Prix. I'm sure the Metropole in Monte Carlo isn't too shabby. |

Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. Only if they allowed dogs in the rooms though, I hate going away without the dog.

I'd love to stay at The Ritz. I'd love to even just have afternoon tea at The Ritz. Maybe one day...!

I guess you mean the one on Park Avenue NYC. The Waldorf Astoria on Aldwych, London, WC2 changed to the Waldorf Hilton a few years back. I've never stayed in either, but I've had a drink at the bar in the London one, nothing special. |

I'd also like a stay at the Dorchester in London and chateau marmont in Los Angeles. |

OH and I stayed at the Rambagh Palace in 2013 - possibly the best hotel I've stayed at. An oasis of calm in the midst of hustle and bustle. On arrival they stopped us the bottom of the steps and showered us with rose petals and took our photo which they presented to us later in a thank you card.
We thought they had mistaken us for somebody important ![]() Absolutely superb! .One day I will have to go to this hotel myself...One day ![]() I have been to the Mumbai Taj, but wouldn't say its the best iv been to. |

If anyone gets a chance to, I recommend the sheen falls hotel in Kenmare, Kerry,Ireland. A sublime gorgeous hotel with amazing staff and the views are unbelievably beautiful.
