Leon was the only one whose win I just don't get. Regardless of whether the other winners were my taste or not (invariably not tbh) they all had something that made them popular. With Leon though, he had the charisma of a wet lettuce and the star quality of a paper bag and his win seems to be based on his duet with Kylie

I didn't see much of his series, but Ben was pretty horrendous when he came back last year.
That duet with Leona... |

Will always be Little Fix.
You'd think they'd have learned to mime to a backing track by now! With so much fake hype for so little talent, they are the forerunners for Honey G. |

Although he seems a really nice guy, I'd have to say Ben.
I think he is the kind of pub singer who has a few songs that really suit his voice which he probably used up in his auditions where he was pretty good. But he is a limited vocalist with a very old fashioned persona. In the finals I felt he was really shown up by Andrea vocally and fleur performance wise. He clearly wanted to be a Rock meets Soul kind of singer (which The Voice has alot of these types) but the problem is that he allowed the show to market himself towards the Housewife market who (no offense to any Housewives) don't seem to buy as much Music as young girls do or young people in general. So yes he won the show because the Housewives are the main voting bracket on this show, but when it came to the Music charts where he needed to be more interesting to the young Music buyers, he failed, and it's why most X Factor winners fail. Ben would've sounded alot better doing his own thing than becoming another bland X Factor winner. |

Ben made a fatal flaw.

In the early or even mid 2000s singers like will, Gareth and Shayne (ward !) could sell very well as pop artists - in the uk- but by the end of the decade this was just not credible. It's a shame in a way. "Pure" pop is a great genre, It will return to fashion at some point ! |

He is really good live. He said he had spent about ten years learning his trade, touring the pubs and clubs with his brother Alex playing acoustic guitar. You could really tell that he is very experienced. |

You could really tell that he is very experienced. However it still sadly doesn't change the fact that the show made him a bore to the masses. |

I've heard his version of Gnarl's Barkley's Crazy on Youtube and he does sound alot better than he did on The X Factor so I'll definitely take your word for it.
However it still sadly doesn't change the fact that the show made him a bore to the masses. I guess the fact that we were doing the same gig as him probably shows that he isn't that successful. I doubt if One Direction or Olly Murs or Little Mix would even consider doing that kind of gig or even being in the same room as us. Although I guess those groups/ artists would need backing tracks and might not be able to do the acoustic thing. |

1. Leona Lewis
2. Shayne Ward 3. James Arthur 4. Little Mix 5. Matt Cardle 6. Alexandra Burke 7. Joe Mcelderry 8. Matt Terry 9. Louisa Johnson 10. Ben Haenow 11. Sam Bailey 12. Leon Jackson 13. Steve Brookstein I think all of the top 8 were good winners So I'd say Steve, Leon and Sam were the worst winners Acts like Little Mix and Alexandra have risen because of their material they released post show, I didn't want either of them to actually win the show |

Steve Brookstein because unlike the rest he is a massive arsehole who posts Katie Hopkins esque trash on Twitter.

That didn't appear until after the show. He came across as a lovely guy during the show, and I think was the main reason he won it. People seem to forget that or didn't watch it back then.
For me, the worst by far is Louisa Johnson because she was instantly forgettable. |
