i think this just proves what most people already think, in that Mike Pence will be largely responsible for the day to day running of the country as he's apparently been receiving daily briefings.

Trump also thinks he'll get a second term as well apparently.

“I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years,”

I think the CIA is going to be delighted with that statement. If he doesn't need intelligence briefings every day; they don't need to tell him what is going on - do they?

(And Mike Pence is worse than Trump - he's a horrible, homophobic, creationist who thinks that all teachers should be armed).

Why would he want to waste time every day with an organisation campaigning against him, claiming Russia helped him win the election. Quite right, funnel them through his deputy.

Trump reckons he's in for 8 years!

God help us all.

Funny, though, that when he loses, he says things were rigged. Yet when they are rigged in his favour, they're not rigged.

I hope his golf courses in the UK go down the tube - will serve him right.

There was some undercover videos that went viral on youtube of groups working for the DNC talking about how they send employees into protests to turn them violent and coordinate with the press to make sure photos are being taken. Or how they bus people in to different districts to commit voter fraud, or how to get illegals the vote. I assume it was these viral videos that trump was riding on the back of as a campaigning tactic

Exactly. I think Saturday Night Live summed it up well in a sketch where they had Trump greeting Pence with the line "Hi Mike, you're the reason I won't get impeached".

Yes I saw them.
Funny they never made the MSM isn't it? If there is one thing for certain in these uncertain times it is that if the roles had been reversed and it had been Trump supporters in those reports, it would have been all over the media like shit on a blanket.
're him predicting a second term and the people laughing at it. All I would say is it was the same people laughing at the prediction of him winning in the first place.
My money unfortunately is on his assassination during his first term or even before he takes office, such is the hatred whipped up about him. You can't constantly label somebody the spawn of Hitler and not expect some crackpot to go for him.

You would only need an intelligence briefing if there was something new to report. Just having a meeting to say everything is the same as yesterday and the day before is a bit silly. As long as something can be scheduled if something crops up, then it shouldn't matter.

Just makes sense doesn't it,there really is no reason to meet with them everyday if there are no significant updates.

Did you read the article? He said he does not want to attend a meeting where the report is the same day after day.

He only wants briefings when something has changed. It makes sense to me - a more efficient use of the President's time rather than sticking to a pointless routine.

People seem to enjoy laughing at and criticising Trump without bothering to hear him out or put their own brain in gear first.

No, I am just saying they are happy to jump on the bandwagon of mocking Trump without reading beyond the headlines and trying to understand what is going on.

Not thinking for yourself does not necessarily = stupid, just foolish

for which trump criticised him.

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
Fact--Obama does not read his intelligence briefings nor does he get briefed in person by the CIA or DOD. Too busy I guess!

The agencies he's doing his best to piss off are also responsible for his security.

The source of this story is his interviews on and off the plane with Chris Wallace. The whole piece is worth a watch.

This thread title is wrong, what he ACTUALLY said was I don't want daily briefings, I want a briefing and then if something changes call me.

I think people are trying to deliberately twist what is said to suit their agenda and their left wing views.

Yeah, everyone who takes issue with Trump has 'left wing views'. (If that was the case why does the entire Republican party hate his guts?)

Sounds pretty smart to me, his time would be better spent elsewhere. There really is no point unless something changes.
