I think he just didn't have the votes expected, simple as that.
Although as someone has said, he'll probably pick up a lot of votes from the X factor crowd on the final.
But then most wouldn't have even WATCHED Strictly, and they might watch the final, but I doubt they'd be serious long term fans who would all bother to vote, or bother to vote more than once, so 'shrugs'.
It certainly surprised me that Danny was in the DO, but interesting.”
I think it's that there are many factors. The internet always wants a binary choice and never any shades of grey.
Danny is my favourite - although I get less worked up about such things than most people who have favourites, it seems! I don't really care if he wins or not - he's made it to the final so I'll have seen the most dances possible from him.
I haven't voted for him once yet. It's always been pointless because the judges would have put him through in any dance off so it didn't matter if he was in one or not. I voted for Cloudier on Saturday because I'd have liked to have seen her in the final and it was pretty clear she would go in a dance off against any of the others. And it also seemed fairly clear that the judges - not in a conspiracy theory way, just in their own preference way - had created a leader board in which Cloudier would almost certainly be in the dance off. In all the other weeks I also voted for the competitor I liked most who was also vulnerable to a dance off elimination.
But I do think Saturday has shown that Danny has less support than we thought and Louise has considerably more.
It doesn't have to be one or the other.
