I will vote loads for Danny. I have voted for both Danny and Ore during the series but I won't in the final.

Confusing. So you have decided where your votes will go before the dances have even been performed? Then they might was well not bother

If a couple has consistently wowed you week on week and they've established themselves as your favourites, they'd prob need to do something pretty uninspiring to turn you off voting. Don't think it's that surprising or even unusual - many already know who they're voting for in the final.

That describes me exactly, every year I have a favourite couple, and although I may give other couples the odd vote, my favourite pair get the majority of votes, and Danny will get all of mine next Saturday.

How can you be confused by this?? Yes, there are a lot of voters who will wait and see who wows them in the final and a lot of first time voters who also will base it on the final performances but there will be a whole lot more who will support the couple they've been supporting throughout and have enjoyed throughout. Earlier on I split my votes between three or four couples. I won't be doing that now. It's Danny and Oti for me and they'll get all of my support. My Mum has voted for Ore in the recent past as well as Danny but she also will only be voting for Danny in the final as he has been the one to wow us every week.
What name??

I split my vote between Danny and Ore depending on who looked like they were in danger. For the final I want Danny to win. He's the one that has entertained me most throughout the show (with an honorable mention to Ed Balls) and whose dance I am most looking forward to seeing on Saturday but I thought Ore deserved to be in the finals.

I can see why people do this, absolutely, its like supporting a football team I suppose. Win or lose they are your team so you support them. However I have to admit I do sometimes get baffled when I read a person say they are going to vote 8 times for one celeb because they are annoyed by the negativity they are getting, etc. I have my favourites for sure, but they don't always get my vote if a better dance wow's me on the night or if they mess up. I reward good dancing and entertainment with my votes, not plain, blind infatuation.

For me at least this Saturday its going to be between Danny and Louise for the win unless Ore can really pull something amazing out of the bag, but the last few weeks he hasn't impressed me with his dancing despite the judges gushing over him.

There are extra viewers for the final though and he could take a lot of their votes.”

Couldn't he have scored less public votes than ORE?

In the beginning of the series I voted for Ore and Louise, but the over marking and favouritism by the BBC, ITT and comments by the judges turned me against them. Louise is a nice person and is a very competent dancer, but she looks down, shows little emotion and 'doesn't have the wow factor for me. Ore is competent but no more, the AT was awful imo. Danny is the only one who consistently wows me and puts in an incredible amount of training. I do feel he has been under marked in a couple of cases - like Jay.

I only hope people will vote for Danny to make him this year's champion and thwart the judges and producers' choice.”

This is quite funny to read after Craig openly admitting that he wants to cast Danny in one of his shows.
I can imagine the interaction - 'Hope you don't mind me trying to screw you out of victory, but can you be in one of my shows please?'

Well I've been supporting Claudia and Danny from the off. Very sorry to see her go and if truth be told think she probably edged the DO. But it will make things easier for me on Saturday assuming Danny and Oti can avoid dancing disasters!

That said, if they do seriously mess up it's unlikely I'll vote at all. So far, neither Ore nor Louise have made me want to pick up the phone. May end up eating my words, but seriously doubt it.

That makes sense, I suppose. I was just thinking of the fact the judges claim they don't think that way. After the dance off they always make a point of saying they have to base their decision on how both dancers have just danced that evening.

It would be funny though if Danny, for instance, doesn't win and his backers cry foul and claim he was robbed after some brilliant dance he does this coming Saturday even though that is obviously immaterial to a lot of people that have already made up their minds in the same way.

Danny and Oti's performances are the only ones that I have loved and repeatedly re-watched. I also love their partnership off the dance floor. I like Ore but not as much as I like Danny.

As someone has already said, I think Danny will benefit a lot from Claudia going out as I know many of her fans, myself included, are now going to vote for him instead.

Its not at all confusing ? By now Oti and Danny have entertained me , wowed me and I enjoy their dances and their ITT chats
I will be voting for them in the final as I would like them to win
Unless Danny comes out in his wellies and sits on the step and wont get up I see no reason not to vote for him .

Lol, yep. Although if he does come out in his wellies, I will still vote for him because of his previous dances.

It's strange but not basing everything on Saturday makes it not seem like a final of a competition to me. A bit like Chelsea beating Arsenal 2-0 in the F.A Cup Final but Arsenal being given the trophy because their football was more entertaining or they had scored more goals in earlier rounds.

I suppose the difference is that this is much more of a popularity contest.

I don't think that it's strange at all. After 12 weeks of the celebrities dancing, it makes sense to pick your winner based on the previous dances and Saturday.

He had to have less public votes than Ore or Louise. The only celeb Danny could have beaten in the public vote was Claudia.

Yes but Craig makes up only one fourth of the panel. They admitted to openly arguing over that Cha Cha Cha-athon.
Danny will no doubt be offered roles, he is a prodigious talent. Don't think he'll be relying on Craig and one of his 'shows'. This has been a fab audition for him.

Ho Ho

The guy used to be a Hollyoaks, I'm sure he will do fine, but I doubt Benny Cumberbatch will be looking over his shoulder!

I didn't mean for film acting. I meant for musical theatre.

He had a MUCH bigger role in Hollyoaks (won several soap awards too) than Georgia did in Corrie and is a better dancer. I'm sure he can do as well as she has.

Yes, because as we know Tom Chambers has won Oscars, hasn't he?

No.

You can have a massive career and never step in front of a camera again. Danny will do really really well on the West End, especially in the more energetic musicals like Grease, West Side Story etc because he can sing (really well) too.

Yes he will do fine

Danny's a much better dancer than he is actor so as long as he lands a part in a light weight musical he'll be fine.

He's actually not a bad actor either. Hollyoaks is lightweight but he was good in it. I saw him in Wicked when he was an understudy and he was great.
