LOL Wow.
Well, if they're going to do a Sky and put ads in a PPV, they can keep it. Commercial-free, i may consider it!

Is Moviemix on satellite?

Is it correct that Sony Movies is FTV encrypted?

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...2#post84883542

Wonder what will happen after the 10th January, FTA or FTV??
MOVIEMIX isn't on satellite at all.
It shows more or less what Sony Movie Channel show anyway with different branding.

I wouldn't mind betting Sony Movie Channel will go FTA and get on to Freesat, same with Sony Channel

It will be interesting to see what happens with those two channels since they are both free to view and not part of any formal Sky TV bundle package, if I recall correctly.

BroadcastNow reports that Tru TV UK is at risk of closure if talks with a potential buyer fail. The channel has struggled to attract an audience in the UK. It is owned by Turner (CNN/TCM/Cartoon Network).

They should replace it with TCM on Freeview.

According to Broadcast Now the full take over of Sky by 21st Century Fox for £11billion is unlikely to be blocked by the regulator even though some Sky share holders are against the take over. This is according to some analysts the headline states. I haven't read the full article as it's subscription.

OK I think the message has been got over now. We need to stay calm and back to what this is meant for. No change over the weekend - maybe we are in the freeze period now but not certain.

I will update this on Monday to week 51-52 - so this will run to the first week in January 2017.

Maybe 16th would make sense - ie last Friday. Anyway, final update of the year will be tomorrow - then (19th) and resume first week in January.

When does the freeze end?

The platform freeze hasn't been enforced as much in recent years, they still rename channels (eg. when Xmas rebrands end) and remove any that go off air during the 'freeze,' whereas previously no changes were allowed.

Add to this the fact that there's very few new launches anyway, probably no need for a "freeze".
