Which past eliminated contestants left too soon?

Was wondering which past eliminated contestants you felt had more to give and would like to have seen more of?

One of the challenging things about Strictly is the elimination of a couple each week. It means some couples exit the show having only done a few routines. As a big Claudia fan and I really liked Anita last year I was just glad that they were able to last until the semis and performance all of their routines, barring their showdances.

This season I really thought Tameka had more to give and would have liked to have seen how her and Gorka's partnership developed. Also felt like Laura was unlucky to be injured and then be up against Ore in the DO. She had topped the leaderboard the previous week with her Tango so clearly had a lot of potential.

N.B. This is not meant to be a thread about saying so-and-so was unfairly eliminated or underscored but a general question about which contestants you would have liked to have seen more routines from.

This season I think

Tameka
Anastacia (she had some rough dance choices and her injury didn't help)

In past years I think the following all went out too early and could have given a lot more.

Claire Sweeney
Gabby Logan
Zoe Lucker
Jimi Mistry
Deborah Meaden
Thom Evans
Helen George

This series Tameka stands out for me.

In recent memory...Pixie Lott...I loved her dancing and she left a big gap when she went.

Last year Helen George...her VW with Aljaz to At last is one of my most rewatched dances. Would have loved to have seen more from her.

Further back...I remember enjoying Heather Small learning to dance, she wasn't a natural dancer but she was trying really hard.

For me

2016: Tameka, Laura and Greg. Was going to say Claudia but she did get to the semis.

2015: Helen

2014: Pixie

2013: Rachel (though she got Pasha out of it so I doubt she cares!)

I'd agree with pretty much all of these many of them enraged me at the time actually athough it was nice to see Mr. Logan and Kate Garroway get better in Kate's case a bit for one week.

I didn't rate Rachel either, but I think Laura went out reasonably early. I do wonder how she would have done without the ankle injury. That tango was wonderful.

Do echo the thoughts about Pixie. What a semi final it would have been with her American Smooth and Salsa!

ETA - I say this because many felt it was rather lacklustre, and that Caroline's Salsa got the perfect score because no other was really a candidate for it (except maybe Frankie's AT)

I agreed thanks to threads about dances have been reminded how good some of her dances were - we could easily have lost Mark Wright at the same stage without it being detrimental to the competition.

At the time, I don't think I appreciated just how good she was. Looking back you can see how accomplished her performances were.

Was v sorry to see Helen George go her year. Thought she was the best that series and her Ballroom dancing was exquisite.

Pixie prob left early but then Simon kept on improving and was a great addition to the final.

Austin Healey was a shame.
