ITV AGREED to 3 more years. But your hatred of X Factor is so deep-rooted that you'll take any chance to have a pop at it. And besides, why drop something which still:
1) tops ITV's night (aside for the 3 IAC weeks)
2) tops ITV's week during the early rounds
3) brings in massive young demos which advertisers love

Back on topic, he probably went to, y'know, attend to other parts of his self-built empire. Simon is actually quite busy, unlike most of the ardent X Factor critics who devote their entire time on this forum to taking jabs at the show.
if it is so good why has talk talk stopped sponsering them?

That info is freely available

"Following the recent criminal Cyber Attack on the TalkTalk website, where possible we have paused brand marketing for the time being to focus on supporting and reassuring our customers," a spokesperson said. "That includes our X Factor idents and TV advertising."

TalkTalk renewed its sponsorship of The X Factor in what was believed to be a record £30m three-year deal last year. It has seen promotional idents run at the start and finish of all ad breaks as well as online and mobile platforms.

TalkTalk shares dived despite the telecoms group claiming hackers may have accessed less private data than originally thought.

The firm also suspended marketing activity, including its high-profile sponsorship of ITV’s The X Factor

That's got nothing to do with why they've stopped their sponsorship.

That's got nothing to do with it. Virgin Media only sponsored Britain's Got Talent for one series when it was pulling in 10 million viewers. TalkTalk will have their own reasons. Maybe they fancy a change - it has been 7 years after all.

So they state why they stopped all marketing and sponsorship and to you that has nothing to do with it ? the fact that after 10 years ( previously as a company under CPW ) they did not renew having previously suspended all such high profile marketing stating they were concentrating on looking after customers and spending money in other ways with no other big TV sponsorships any more to me makes it obvious why.

The point I was making, admittedly not very clearly, was that you dragged up articles from 2015 to make the point that TalkTalk won't be sponsoring The X Factor from 2017 despite nothing stating as much in those articles.

Simon went to Barbados, it's been in the papers, he us spending the £ millions we all give him, via ITV and phone lines.

When you see him in the tabloids enjoying Barbados think, you contributed to that.

And to pre empt the post in response that we do not pay for ITV, Yes we do through advertising, every time you by a product the cost of advertising is included in it through the brand, or the shop advertising.

That was the start of their withdrawal from high profile and high spend sponsorship
