Trying to make a list of things i want for relatives who live abroad tom pick from. Its very tricky as i'm of an age now where i just buy most things i want, or don't buy them as they are too expensive, which means they are also too expensive to be a gift.

So give me some ideas. What do you want for xmas?

I asked for a donation to Save the Children.

You can also sponsor a dog for the blind, I think they give you updates which would be lovely.

In all honesty, all I want now is a house. My own place that I can waste my life doing up, decorating, and storing all my useless shit in.

Failing that, a new laptop. I cracked my 'touchscreen' on mine, took it apart today to try and disconnect, and I took a pair of scissors to a cable that lead towards the monitor and assumed was the 'touchscreen' cable. Well, God knows what the cable I cut was, but it didn't cut off the touchscreen.

I've asked for Moseley Shoals by Ocean Colour Scene.

I would like a New Year that isn't filled with bereavement and illness!

I have all I want and all my family for Xmas lunch. My family are donating my gifts to charity and I'm doing the same for them. Only children will get gifts. And we will have the best time over the holiday period.
Tho my daughter has already bought me an new I pad ,

I've asked for a new hair dryer and curling tongs. I can afford to buy them for myself but my family were getting fed up with me constantly saying "I don't know". I've also got a birthday to choose a gift for as well but there's honestly nothing I really want. My grandparents won't do money/vouchers/gift cards, so I'll have to find something to ask for.

Great album by a great Birmingham band!

Hope you do get a peaceful New Year

I've asked for a basic Kindle to download my books on to. I have got a tablet, but it's fairly large and awkward to read on, I also need a new phone case so have asked for one of those.

I half fancy a kindle until it occurred to me how much I'd have to pay for books

The answer should really be 'you'

Shocking I know but I can't think of anything I want. I like lipsticks though so if you really must buy me something, you can get me a nice lipstick, I like nude shades for day time and red for evenings.

I actually got what I wanted, a holiday to St Lucia.
It was supposed to be a surprise from the BF but he had to tell me as he had to ensure I managed to book time off from work.

I feel a wee bit guilty seeing I got him a weekend in France!!

I played cards against humanity for the first time a couple of months ago and I found it hilarious. So I want the game and expansion packs.

Not heard anyone reference that tune for a while

I've no idea what I want. Possibly just a few books, but I can buy those myself anytime. I get paid on the 20th, so even if Mr Kivi tells me what he wants, it won't arrive before Christmas, so it's a tangerine and wooden spinning top for him

The only presents I've bought so far are new collars for the dogs and a chew-thing for the gerbils

No one can buy for me because I want things for my house - curtains for the landing, mat for hall, pictures, a check armchair and lots and lots of unnecessary cushions but no one would pick right.

I hate getting devices or appliances. My husband has learnt that a cheap throw from Dunelm gets him further than a phone or tablet. And that buying me that hairdryer was a grave mistake. A f***ing hairdryer!

Jewellery and perfume leave me cold too.

I do like getting jammies and slippers though. Specially if they're cute, cosy and co-ordinating so I'm really not high maintenance or particularly difficult.

And favourite sweets. Dark chocolate with marzipan.

I got a great gift last year which was a big bag of snacks and treats. Unusual things, posh popcorn, the kind of stuff you get on Not on the High Street and a mix of my favourites. Not a grand present but thoughtful and I enjoyed every bit of it.

I'd like a hamper but no one ever gets me a hamper. Would love one of those Christmas stacking box ones.
