Very interesting announcement at the start of the broadcast that the identity of one of the grand finalists could not be revealed due to reasons outside of Channel 4's control.

https://youtu.be/kovi9Ug1Z48?t=1m25s

Been digging but cannot find exactly who or why they are not to be featured due to circumstances beyond Channel 4's control.

Daphne Fowler was a finalist, has she ever revealed why?

A Freedom of Information Act request was even made by rejected by Channel 4.

"outside of their control" makes me think the contestant in question committed criminal acts or had criminal acts committed against them or someone close to them.

Couldn't you find out be watching the penultimate episode of the series, seeing the leaderboard and then working out who is missing?

There's something about this that doesn't quite add up. The you tube segment refers to a show aired on 22nd December 2000. The FOI request refers to a show aired in 2010 - yet there was no 15:1 in 2010. It orginally ran from 1988 to 2003, and was then revived under a different presenter in 2013.

it's mistakes like this that reveal to the Special Ones that reality is a vast, fabricated illusion

The FOI request refers to series 29 which was 2000. The person who made the FOI request has put 2010 when they really mean 2000, that is all.

As a total aside look at the job title of contestant 4 on this completely different episode of the show:
