I look forward to the threads highlighting the world's plight when the GBP gets Honey G to number 1.

My parrot is going to love her new Christmas themed bell wreath, she will be jingling them bells all day.
She also has some treats of nuts & fruits hidden inside an empty Christmas wrap roll to find. There will be cardboard everywhere Christmas afternoon!

My wee dog hates Christmas. Far too many people, far too much noise etc. She loves Boxing Day tho. I don't buy her anything, why would I? It's all there on a plate for her..

I bought my cat Tesco's Dreamies selection box. He's going to be one happy old boy on Christmas Day.
Thread OP I don't feel guilty about it either. |

One thing about DS i will NEVER understand is some posters reaction to a cat crapping in their garden is like a declaration of war.

I do love when people try and take the moral high ground on the internet.
They don't actually do anything themselves to allieviate the suffering in the world, no, it is simply enough to whine about others doing stuff they don't like. Especially for broad social and national groups that they have never shown the slightest interest in, and often outright hatred towards, before the opportunity to act superior arose. |

And "some posters" reaction to anyone who dares to raise a different opinion, those cat fanatics know who they are If you had all the neighbourhood cats using your garden as the local dumping ground I think you too might object |

My dogs are spoilt ... but why not, they are my children.
They have three new toys each wrapped under the tree. My parents also buy them a few gifts (normally fleece blankets and an odd toy) and they do them a stocking each as well. My older dog now knows when its Christmas and I swear she gets excited when the tree goes up. They also have a doggie advent calendar each too. |

I won't be spending any money on my dog because I do not celebrate Christmas - I don't even buy cards; generally I don't spend a huge amount on him because I'm poor, I obviously buy food for him & take him to the vets if he's poorly (or even if he's not - annual vaccination boosters), I take him for long walks through fields & woods (off-lead) (free), I give him loads of kisses & cuddles (free) & I let him sleep on my bed even though it causes me discomfort (free).

Our little Betty chihuahua is getting a new pink floral harness and lead, and a box of her favourite fishy treats, Elsie Labrador is getting a new harness for the car, and a box of her favourite duck treats. Then they are getting a nice walk on the common and then home for a roast lunch gravy for Elsie but no gravy for Betty she prefers hers drier.
Also donating to various charities It doesn't have to be either or, we can do both op. |

"Britain's animal lovers will spend over £27 million on Christmas gifts for their pets this year, according to new research published today by The Blue Cross animal welfare charity.
Flashing antlers and collars with bells on them are just some of the gifts that dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits across the nation can expect to wake up to on Christmas morning. The Omnibus survey carried out for The Blue Cross reveals that half of the nation's pet lovers are set to buy their pet a present this Christmas. Most people will spend an average of £4 on their pet." http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/news-rel...154652565.html Meanwhile children in Syria, Africa, and some parts of the UK suffer pain, hunger, and sickness |

If you had all the neighbourhood cats using your garden as the local dumping ground I think you too might object Anyway I think it's lovely that people buy their pets gifts at Christmas and have no problem with how much of their own money they choose to spend. |

Guess what - all wild animals tend to defecate outdoors! Do you think all mammals, birds and insects should be eradicated from the planet as well as cats?
Anyway I think it's lovely that people buy their pets gifts at Christmas and have no problem with how much of their own money they choose to spend. |

Going by your comments on cats on another thread, you clearly wanted healthy cats put down. That's not someone who likes animals.

Surely such items should be part of the regular shopping for any responsible cat owners, and not Christmas presents
I hope that those who are spending on diamante necklaces for their pussies saw the ITV evening news where 500,000 children in the Yemen are staring, malnourished, and dying If it came down to a choice between Yemen and our cat then I'm afraid to said Yemen is well and truly screwed. Our moggy doesn't do diamanté she only rocks rubies. Just to annoy you regarding the money aspect of your I hate cats rant our total spend on the moggy this year was nearly £80, a cat activity centre, a new treat box three Christmas stockings a new cat bed, copious amounts of catnip and a few squeaky toys. |

I saw an advert for bum gems the other day, it's a little band that goes around their tail and a bottom hole-sized gem hangs off it, covering your cats modesty
