I've not heard of any on the mainland yet - leastways, not round here.
Doesn't sound quite as bad as the norovirus, which normally lasts longer. So maybe just a "regular" tummy bug doing the rounds.
You're lucky then - as was I. My girlfriend developed Norovirus when she was with me one day a few years ago, and was confined to bed for the next 5 days. She lost over a stone in weight.
How the hell I managed to avoid it, I'll never know.
tip - just have cooked hot meals eaten with a knife and fork.
