Oh yes.

I imagine that every single individual in the supply chain from farmer, to abatoir, to tannery, to designer, to sales girl in the shop, right up through to No11 pocketing the £165 in VAT to help pay for delivery of services to the most vulnerable in our society really wishes she hadn't bought them...

I trust you are giving up your lifestyle and selling all your unnecessary things you own so that these poor people can survive? If not then don't criticise others for what they own and possess.

He was joking - alluding to another thread that the OP started where he said something akin to 'while the Syrian, African and some UK children starve to death'. http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2193827 This thread.

£995 would certainly solve the problem

When you want sexist comments you can always rely on women to have a go at other women, men couldn't care less about how much women spend on clothes unless it is SWMBO.

As others have said no one comments on a male politician spending £3k on a suit.

True but they notice Corbyn looking like he was dressed from the charity shop.

Thing is, men don't give a toss what other men wear.

I assume that Blair and Brown must have brought their suits from the church jumble sale then?

It was actually quite a nice coat. Apparently the Queen complimented him on it. The press, and this shouldn't surprise anyone, make a big fuss about nothing.

If a new male Prime Minister had posed for photos in an £18,000 bespoke suit, no one would have mentioned it.

And I doubt many men could care less about (or would even notice) what clothes Theresa May was wearing in a homely photo with lots of soft furnishings. Other women on the other hand...

I agree - but that wasn't the point I was making, either.

Didn't those two senior women police officers get jealous of each others tits, or some such - resulting in a tit tiff?
