I actually like the lack of embedded media on here.

A few folk quoting YouTube videos can end up taking a while to scroll by, especially when on a mobile phone.

Can't please ask the people all the time I guess.

Don't like the idea.

You know how this place gets during major tournaments? Well now that the football forum is more prominent, it'll be like that all the time.

So that's nearly 1 in 40 users end up permanently banned

Says it all really.

It works out around 3 accounts per day, not really that many.

16000 accounts but it will be about 1000 people overall given the number of banned users who come back under a different name then get banned again and so on.

Currently it's probably one of the least ussed forums you rarely seen more than 10 topics open and that's mainly supporters club pages you rarely get other subjects on it
In comparison to tv forums/broadcasting ones that is.

No harm in having some new contributors, if that's what it leads to.

Very few open topics which think that's why a lot left I look at club pages from.time to time
But nothing much really just in club fan bickering which I can do without enough of that elsewhere.

My favourite part is this:

Search

We will be gaining an advanced search. You will once again be able to search through users, posts, threads and forums.

A search that works - 'Advanced'

Hopefully we start getting loads of non-football fans popping in to tell us how soldiers and doctors should be earning more than footballers, and how weak and pathetic footballers are compared to Rugby players.

Those people are the best.

The new up/down voting element could certainly turn this forum into a minefield!

Hope they can also improve the "ignore" function. It's not much use in cases of someone posting non-stop. It needs to completely hide all of any particular posters activity. That would help a lot

Shame we can't do a trade. One in one out policy. It goes to an online poll

Will they also fix the search facility that's been busted for years?

why do we still have Euro 2016 as the sticky at the top of the forum!

Why cannot this be world cup 2018?

Embedding media can be handy but could also be spamtastic which is a worry. Hopefully they don't allow signatures like back in the early 2000s, they really clog up a screen.
