Female detective series
I have recently been reading several detective series featuring women as the main character.
The first ones I read were by Angela Marsons (five in the series featuring detective Kim Stone starting with 'Silent Scream - the kindle versions are brilliant prices on Amazon). I have also read a series by Robert Bryndza (three in the series so far featuring detective Erika Foster the first one being 'The Girl in the Ice') and a series by M J Arlidge (featuring detective Helen Grace starting with 'Eeny Meeny' - there are six so far, I'm only on the 4th). I did have a break from them for a while whilst reading new books that I'd been waiting for from another genre, and when I was ready to read the latest I found they had merged in my mind a bit - I couldn't remember which was based in Southampton, midlands or London! The detectives all have back stories themselves with various problems that affect the way they behave. I have enjoyed them all though, and would be interested in other's views. |
