I dont even know what the Christmas storyline is.... they seem to be focusing around boring Lee, those 2 annoying teenage lovers, and lord knows who else.I barely watch it now. Usually around Christmas time, its supposed to hook you in, but so far nothing.

Another boring episode tonight, I've never known it to be so bad this close to Christmas.

I know, it was so dry. Even the cliff hanger was awful...

They really seem to be pushing the adoption agenda at the moment.

Exactly, their posts are just as repetitive as the threads moaning about the show.

There aren't multiple threads gushing about EE though in fairness.

It's the only one of the soaps I'm quite liking at the moment. Loving Patrick in the play and Danny Dyer playing a bad actor lol.

Maybe not on the first page but you only have to go one or two back to add to an existing thread.

Personally, whilst I think we need perhaps a little more drama, I'm enjoying the show at the moment. In fact I think it's the first time since Live Week that we're getting more structured, well thought out plots across all cast members.

I am watching it pre-recorded, so I can fast forward "yeah man", "boring Dotty", "get a room bed and shaks" and the Carters!

It's great right now it's been a slow build up but there is plenty going on and Christmas is exciting as we don't know exactly whats going to happen.

Patricks words seemed to ring in Roxys ears, which is building up to her exit, it just isn't obvious.

And Dot getting the letter saying The Laundrette is going to shut on Christmas Eve, is a real end of the era.

I am enjoying it at the moment. I got sick of the ridiculous levels of high drama all the time. I like the more realistic approach they're taking.

I have watched Eastenders from when it started back in the 80s. It reminds me of those days. Often very little would happen in an episode but you could seem plots and characters slowly developing. It's much more subtle. BUT I understand why it is not to everyone's taste.

Put Kim in every episode and it gets my vote as good one.

It's Shakil and Bex that dulls the show. How on earth he was considered remotely adequate as an actor baffles me - dreadful character portrayed by a dreadful actor.
