That whole scene was brilliant I like it when Robert isn't so serious too.

Despite Nick acting very annoying as of late I did find that line amusing.

Me too. I don't get all the love for Peter on this forum I think he's awful. Nick on the other hand I really like.

Nick is so much more entertaining when he is narked.
Looking forward to seeing Michelle with someone else (hopefully that will happen, I don't read spoilers).
Maybe she will get a new lease of life, as her being with Steve is a cul de sac for both of them...it can go no further literally, and they don't bounce off each well. Both actors might benefit hugely from a change of on screen partners.

Agreed. I had to laugh when Leanne mentioned that Toyah preferred Peter to Nick. Peter the lying, cheating, alcoholic bigamist who not only had an affair but actually left Leanne to shack up with his mistress abandoning his son in the process. He manages to destroy everything he touches and his life's one big train wreck. Compared to Nick who is actually a decent bloke, treats Leanne well, cares for Simon as if he was his own and has a good job and prospects. Who in their right mind would prefer their sister was in a relationship with Peter over Nick?

I want Nick and Robert to get drunk and pass comment on everything that happens in Corrie - kind of like Gogglebox.

Nick, the one who spits his dummy out the pram when things don't go well for him and cries to mummy. And despite the amount of times his relationship with Leanne goes pear shaped he always runs back to her.

Nick is a very inconsistent character. Hard to know if he is truly a decent bloke.

He's not without flaws but I dont recall Nick ever behaving particularly badly. His recent aggression was caused by a brain injuries so that cant be held against him.

Peter on the other hand is a walking disaster when it comes to relationships with women. He seems completely incapable of ever being faithful. He had a lengthy affair with Carla behind Leanne's back and then had a lengthy affair with Tina behind Carla's back. Then there was whole Shelley/Lucy business before that when he even went as far as to marry them both at the same time. No self respecting woman who knew his history would go anywhere near him in the real world.

I liked that scene just like the one last week with Tracy and Sarah in the Rovers when Tracy saw Adam and Maria talking:

Tracy: "How is it every time I see Maria chatting to a bloke I 'ear the theme tune from Jaws in me 'ead?"
Sarah: "Oh ho, that's a bit rich coming from you!"

The Platt's can have some great hilarious responses especially David, Sarah and Bethany.

Sorry, but Nick is a prick and has been before his "brain damage" (which only comes and goes as he seems to please).

His aggressiveness and attitude towards Peter only stems from his own insecurities, as he knows that Peter could get back Leanne anytime he wants. Let's face it, Leanne isn't that in love with Nick and is only using him to support herself and Sigh and get herself a cosy position at the Bistro. He is second best compared to the other blokes she has had, which is evidenced by the times she has quickly dropped Nick and moved onto someone else. And it will no doubt happen again, but wet Nick will still pine after her and let himself be walked over.

Well, he made Leanne have an abortion many years ago. Then there was Natasha, he was pretty rotten to her. And didn't he go to Canada with Maria?

He also schemed to get Peter drinking again so that he could break up him and Leanne. Nick is no innocent, even though he enjoys taking the moral high ground.

Didn't he also play up to get his name changed back to Tilsley because of Ivy's Will when Gail and Martin refused?

Or was it another reason he was sent away for a year in 1996?

True. And Nick had a one night stand with Kylie, his sister-in-law.
Reading this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Tilsley one can see that he has not always been a nice persion ie " While Nick was at college, his class was visited by a convicted murderer, Darren Whateley (Andy Robb), during a criminology lesson. When Darren described the details of the crime he had been imprisoned for, Nick realised that Darren had killed his father. Wanting revenge, he wrote to Darren under Leanne's name, asking to meet. Darren agreed, and, when released on parole, he visited Leanne, who was frightened and furious with Nick for putting her in danger." That was another rotten thing he did.

Nearly all of the Platt children have had their horrible moments in the past, Nick, David, Sarah and Bethany, so it doesn't look good for Max, Lily and Harry in the future if they follow their example.
