David Neilson is an outstanding actor
He does not have to shout, he is understated, I think it is called, his face only has to move slightly to be expressive.
There was a previous thread about him but I could not find it. |

They're the same thing. I'm simply repeating what I've read. I have never met him or heard an interview with him so I have no idea.

He's a great actor but I'm really disliking Roy at the moment.

Superb. One of the Street's stalwarts. I'm so glad that the writers have seen sense by splitting him and Cathy up.

I've seen David Neilson interviewed and he's very different from Roy. Looks about 20yrs younger too when he's talking as himself.

David is brilliant as Roy. I hope Cathy and him are finished as I have never really bought them as a couple but I do think her and Brian would work

I struggle to understand the praise this actor gets just because the character he portrays has a 'condition'.
In what way is he a better than the actor who plays Dev for instance? |

In what way is he a better than the actor who plays Dev for instance? I find David very natural as an actor and in scenes it feels completely believable I find the actor who plays Dev completely ott. It's quite clear he's attempting to act whereas it's not with David for me. |
