In the letter signed by the 60 MPs, Tory backbencher Suella Fernandes tells European Parliament chief Martin Schulz that Brexit Britain has to leave the single market and customs union as the EU “has not served the best interests of the UK”.

Toddler tantrum time. Why are backbenchers (again) writing to EU? Shouldn't they deal with David Davis / Theresa May. All EU will do is say whatever - you've voted to leave. When are you triggering article 50?

I wonder if Schulz quickly read the letter, screwed it up in a ball and tossed it in the bin

What a stupid letter. They want the EU to drop protectionist policies because they're so concerned about cocoa farmers in the third world, yeah right. Nothing to do with Britain about to be outside the single market or anything, just altruistic concern for the Africans.

But of course it's absolutely fine to be protective about steel imports at the same time because it suits us. Pathetic and displaying an utter lack of understanding of international trade.
