It was so funny on Sunday night, when the two 'saved' couples were on the sofa ( Kevin, Louise, Ori, and Joanne )

It was like Strictly come Weeping, as they ruthlessly competed to see who could be the most emotional, ingratiating, and 'humble'

The level of insincerity was off the scale !

Its infectious as Joanne joined in...he's really had nothing to worry about so relief must have been the last thing on their minds..Len made sure they would get people thinking about his being a beginner. Someone needs to tell Claudia that gymnastics is the new dancing

What is so wrong with Ore's crying? There's a thing that men shouldn't go showing their emotions, but there's nothing wrong with doing that. I don't have a problem with his crying. It just shows how much he loves the Strictly experience and how grateful he is to still be in the show.

Better that than not show any emotion at all, where he'd look like he doesn't care about being on Strictly.

It's a tense, emotional situation. There's also the element of relief when you get through, alongside the knowledge that someone is going to be eliminated - and you don't yet know who that will be.

If you are 'all friends', then you know that you will be sad for whoever it is who leaves.

I wonder if JK Rowling is a Strictly fan? It might explain this little gem:

And now you have a chance to make him cry one more time for two completely different reasons

Oh, give over! All this picking on Ore for being an emotional bloke is wearing a bit thin. He may have shed more tears but they've all had a cry at some time or another. It's not the Victorian era now - men are allowed to show their feelings. They are all under a lot of pressure in there, male and female. Why are male tears always perceived to be insincere?.

Well see there's two things wrong with Ore's crying -

1) It's as fake as all get out. The wibbly lip, the sniffles, the squeezing a fist into his tear duct while his forehead crumples and he's "too overcome" and has to turn away while not a single tear leaves his bone dry eyes...nobody cries like that.

2) If Ore is the one man on Earth who does cry like that...Jesus dude it's a light entertainment ballroom dance show. Grow a set.

Simply needs to stop over acting it either that or man up it's pathetic and over done now.

What are you, first post approval Chairman? The irony of some of these shock horror probe comments when I remember the nastiness Jay was subjected to last series, when ppl were jumping on Craig's no emotion bandwagon. Nobody need get on their high horse if they can honestly say they have never made disparaging remarks/gathered in their clique clusters on here to snigger and belittle. I've seen it plenty of times.

So now he can't even cry the right and proper way? What face is acceptable crying face?

Maybe he is a very emotional man, maybe he is really that affected by all the Strictly experience, but please the amount and regularity of his emotional outburst is getting a bit OTT. I worry he in danger of dehydration sometimes.

And as someone has pointed out you build up and execution seem pretty well established from the fist in the eyes to trying to laugh it off. Almost, not that I am saying it is, but almost like its rehearsed.

Wow - yet another 'let's bash Ore' thread. Though interestingly the OP goes on about both saved couples crying when with Claudia but it is Ore's name in the title. Pathetic really - where is the 'rollseye' smilie when you need it.

I don't see anything wrong with Ore crying, after that AS and jive he hadn't until the other night and they've all been shedding tears for weeks, the night Greg went it cut to the Clauditorium and everyone clapping and Oti was wiping away tears.

Some people just get a bit more emotional than others.

I know I'd be s nervous, crying wreck. All the hard work practicing, and then performing in front of an audience, it would get to me every time.

But if it wasn't Ore's crying, he'd be criticized for doing something else in a completely wrong and inauthentic way.

Every time I see 'man up' on here I cringe. It's BS like that which ultimately means male suicide rates are so high (nasty thought but unfortunately utterly true - look into how toxic that is if you don't believe me). It's really pretty pathetic that in this day and age people still think men shouldn't show emotion: news flash, they're still human beings!

The fact that some people also can't process the idea that he might be emotional over getting the final is equally bizarre. The 'oh it must be fake!' BS. Really? Why are these people so emotionally dead inside that they can't comprehend such reaction as being real?

At the end of the day, people are criticising him for having an emotional reaction and that is the stupidest thing. If YOU'RE uncomfortable with a guy showing emotion then frankly there's something wrong with you, not him.

I reckon you have to be in a bad place to start an unpleasant thread about a stranger.

I don't think they are always perceived to be insincere, t's just something about Ore that, to me, comes across as disingenuous and try hard. The crying just adds to the desperation. I really thought I would like him at the start of the series but every week I'm finding him more and more annoying. I'll be gutted if he wins.

I agree. Real men cry. Ore seems completely genuine to me. As does Louise. As does Danny.

Ore might be a bit needy and he might cry with relief when he gets validated. What's wrong with that? Nothing. It's fine if it comes across as a bit too full-on for some so they prefer to vote for someone a bit more contained about things. But it's not fine to savage the bloke for just being himself. He seems like a lovely chap to me.

Now let's get this straight from the outset - I am a bloke and have NO problem seeing a guy show his emotions. I also like Ore - but the one thing that really annoys me about him is his fake crying. It is so forced it is untrue. I have quoted you Oicho because you sum it up in a nice tidy nutshell.

Now, if I were to say that about Danny's "Oh, I really struggled this week" and "I have panic attacks before every show", I would have the screaming hoards on my back.
