Just saying too, nothing to do with him personally or being on his side, they all no doubt have issues and they've all talked about them too whether its Ore's missing his family, Danny getting anxious, Louise feeling embarrassed cos she feels mumsy! No wonder society is in the state it is with such uncompassionate people around! Bear in mind this is a light entertainment show that will be over in a few days! Pretty sure they're all feeling the pressure and are trying to cope with it all the best they can, please give em all a break!

I doubt very much that all three in the final would appreciate their fans being nasty about the others
They seem very supportive of each other and understand the pressure they are all feeling
Everyone deals with and shows pressure in different ways

Someone like Jake Wood found such a balance.

His fake sincerity very much reminds me of possibly the worst offender of displaying it in Strictly history - Lisa "Really?" Snowdon.”

I gave an example of Danny, I could have easily given an example of Louise too.

I was making a point that everyone bashes Ore for his "fakeness" but no one comments how repetitive Louise & Danny are.

What's that got to do with it? Danny has a fiancé and they're getting married next year, was just a lighthearted remark/joke,, I'm nearly 50 with 3 grown ups, 4 grandchildren, would say I've got bob hope, no hope of even seeing Danny in the flesh, let alone kicking him out of bed!lol!

Absolutely doesn't take too much for people to cry. If I'm feeling any way vulnerable all it takes is someone to ask "are you OK" for me to well up.

Quite. Maybe it's time to have a ceasefire and just appreciate their hard work in bringing us a bit of entertainment on a Saturday night. I said at the beginning of the show that they all seem likable people and I stand by that now. One thing I am looking forward to on Saturday is seeing all the contestants back together.

I don't understand why some people have objections to other people expressing their emotions with tears. We are all different and cope with our emotions as individuals. There is no one-size-fits-all formula for expressing how we feel.

My OH is the most grounded, level-headed man you could ever hope to meet. He is calm, very rarely angry - not even irritable unless really pushed. He's a great person to have around in a crisis as he never panics, which is a good thing, as he is a doctor . So on the face of it, some might think he was completely in control of his emotions.

However, I have seen him in tears over films, over news items, over seeing someone winning a gold medal, and when he sees other people in distress. I know that when he has to give bad news to people who have gravely ill relatives, that he often also sheds a tear with them. It is all just part of being human.

That's not to say that there is anything wrong with people who do not cry over such things but I do feel there is something wrong with people who think it is weak, fake or pathetic for others to shed tears when feeling emotional - whether happy, sad, frustrated or angry.

You think there's something 'wrong' with ppl? Does that apply to you when made a joke about Jay having his first hair cut? Can I conclude then that 'there's something wrong with you" in that tasteless joke? Maybe if some FMs stopped being self-righteous, they wouldn't need to bleat about 'personal attacks' which actually aren't any such thing but more of not liking it when the blatant double standards are highlighted.

What was tasteless about it? Furthermore what does it have to do with this discussion? Oh that's right - it has absolutely nothing to do with it.

It's also nothing to do with self-righteousness - simply pointing out that it is not appropriate to arbitrarily call someone weak or fake when they shed tears. We are ALL capable of shedding tears when moved - for whatever reason. So why then does anyone think they have the right to determine what the appropriate circumstances must be for someone else to do so without being criticised or accused of insincerity?

Edited to add - don't be under any illusions that this view is confined to Strictly or to this forum and it is not intended to be directed at anyone in particular. I would say exactly the same in any other context, It is not wrong to express emotion with tears but it is wrong to condemn people who do. Nobody has the right to dictate emotional "etiquette" to another person.

How convenient to dismiss your own inappropriate remark just because it wasn't on this thread! Brick wall. We all cry and we all see things differently. It doesn't mean there's anything 'wrong' with anybody who has an alternative opinion. I think Ore is fake, you do don't. You think Jay is fair play for mickey taking I don't. No difference really is there.

The two things are not even comparable.

Now I'm done with you and won't be responding to any more of this sort of irrational nonsense.

Go and find someone else with whom to pick an argument because I really cannot be bothered with this degree of silliness.

Great post Liza .

The only thing I find slightly offputting with Ore is the nods to camera while dancing .

No because you having a dig at Jay in a mocking way, and to to raise laughs is gigantic miles apart in suggesting Ore's tears are fake in yes, youve got it, a mocking way. Of course your rational thinking suggests you needs posts which comfort you...no you won't find that with me. Toodlepip.
