Maybe interacting with the camera comes as part of Ore's presenting background, and he just does it automatically?
I have to say I find all the hostility towards people getting emotional on reaching the final of the most-viewed prime-time TV show (which as much popularity contest as dance competition) rather mean spirited. (And I don't mean you here, jiroos).
I'm the kind of person who's in floods of tears by the end of DIY SOS, so I have no problem at all understanding why someone might be genuinely overwhelmed by an achievement like reaching the final of Strictly.
The show's a big deal. People like us come on here and argue about it with anonymous strangers. They spend weeks learning complex dance routines and then performing them in front of an audience of millions, knowing that at the end of it they'll be judged as much by how well they're perceived by the public as how well they executed that fleckerl. Why not cut them a bit of slack?
