Simon -57 yrs
Louis -64yrs
Sharon- 64yrs
Nicole -38yrs

Why have they got 2 to be pensioners and Cowell not far off judging young talent . Do you really think they are into todays music or just doing the show for the money .

They tried Cheryl, Rita and Nick and that didn't work.

It's arguable that the three above are very much current and popular with the younger audience too so I disagree, keep the panel as it is.

The judges aren't the problem - in fact as panels go I'd say it's the strongest after Simon-Cheryl-Dannie-Louis

The show has just become a tired self aware cliche that it's too overtly manipulated to keep viewers with the show. Plus the producer decisions of who to take to the lives killed the series for me

The judges were one of the few highlights this year. I think they're going to keep them as is.

Maybe Mrs. O is leaving the show because of her US commitments so we possibly see some changes. If the whole panel doesn't comeback Miss Scherzys future is in doubt. She said she will be back if the panel stay the same.

I was surprised that Louis signed for two more year. Normally the judges get only one-year-contracts. But on the other side it's clear that Cowell will never axe him again.

The problem with last year was the lack of chemistry between the four judges. I never would have thought Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora were friends before the show. It was also clear that Cheryl was having some personal issues, so her banter with Simon didn't even have the same spark.

Totally agree. We need people who don't choose the same dated songs every year.

Yeah, because last year's panel worked so brilliantly well didn't it.

Cheeky bugger, OP . None of them are of pension age - yet!

The current panel works and I hope they keep it. I'd rather have judges that have been around the block a few times with bags of experience in the industry, than some whippersnapper barely out of high school.

The original American idol panel didn't have any young judges and it's still one of the best (even though it was far from perfect).

What the panel needs IMO is ARTICLATE judges - who can be entertaining but still give interesting critiques. This years panel had chemistry but they were just spouting off the same tired lines they have used in previous series.

Is the X Factor actually about "today's music"?

It's a Saturday night entertainment show, not a cutting edge music programme. If they try to aim it entirely at people who follow the top 40, or try to be cool, that'll be the final nail in its coffin.
