With growing evidence of far right extremists increasing Amber Rudd has taken action against one group...

Quote:
“A British neo-Nazi movement is to become the first far-right group to be banned under terrorism laws in the UK.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd said National Action was "a racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic organisation".

An order laid in Parliament to proscribe the group - making it a criminal offence to join or support it - is due to come into effect on Friday”

I agree. Lets pussyfoot around the periphery on this and ignore what the real problem is.

Yep, far right groups are currently the biggest threat to civilisation as we know it. Hordes of Carling swilling idiots singing "no surrender..." & "Jihadi John..." songs pose a real and constant threat to our way of life.

They have always been an issue just as with the Islamic extremist groups. I don't know what your problem is tbh.

I think we should have a new law stopping people having entitlement to welfare benefits in these cases.

Anjem Choudhary the jailed hate preacher was a qualified lawyer but was on the dole for years as was his hate preacher wife. They got around £25 k plus of benefits a year and free rent on a £500k house near me. Maybe if they had had to get off their backsides and get jobs to pay for their family and their rent they wouldn't have had so much time for protests and hate preaching.

As they say the devil makes work for idle hands.

How do you know they are on benefits?

If the government wasn't providing for his family he would have to get a full time job and would have had less time for hate preaching. There are plenty of jobs in London and no excuse to be on the dole for 20 years.

The greatest threat to the British way of life is this shithouse government. Can we have the Tory party banned under anti-terrorism laws, please? Along with Corbyn's crapfest as well.

TIA

Yeah, but nobody dares mess with Islamist recruiters, do they? Same with visas, blood-soaked Islamist fanatics get to do national tours, American radio DJs get banned. Tommy Robinson goes to jail, Faisal the Fanatic is free to go to Syria and join ISIS. Rasoul the Rapist cames back from Iraq and gets fawning interviews on Channel 4, Tory MPs refuse to meet Donald Trump or Geert Wilders.

Aw. You upset that a bunch of right wing hate preachers have been banned? Because that's how it's coming across.
All extremists from whatever stone they have crawled out from should be scrutinised and if they are breaking laws then punish them.
This applies to Islamic extremists and RRW nutcases and anyone else who indulges in hate and violence.

Isn't the problem with banning organisations that they can just change their name a la People's Front of Judea?

Perhaps if we all turned our backs on superstitious nonsense like the above we could make a start on getting rid of the cancer that is organised religion, i.e. the 'real problem'.

They can't just change their name.

I'd join a banned org for the simple thing you know theres going to be a police/mi5/6 car outside your house 24x7 might as well make use of it as a free taxi as they want to know where you're going and doing so a winner for both sides as you don't have to pay for taxi's/petrol/car costs and the state gets all the info they want.

Yes, in Britain we value freedom of speech, especially for people we disagree with. It's only deeds that should be punished.

So presumably you have no problem with Islamic extremists spouting their hatred?
Or are you selective as to who can hate preach?

Easier to target the individuals involved.
If you have been active or a supporter of a banned group then there is a legitimate reason to raise monitoring of your activities.

Didn't it say on the news that the membership of this group was under 100?

Even if it was 200 aren't they making this group into a far bigger problem than they actually are?
They might become more of a problem now due to the free advertising they just got.

I had a look at their website yesterday out of curiosity. I hope that doesn't put me on some sort of list for monitoring (actually I'm not that bothered, they'd get bored very quickly). I was struck by how similar their rhetoric was to the many banned Islamic extremist groups.

If you replaced the words 'white' or 'English' with Islamic and removed the Nazi symbolism (skull and crossbones motifs, photos of Nazi salutes) it would be hard to differentiate the two.

The requirements to join were interesting. Stated aim of being primarily a youth group including inspiring stories about activists who were still in secondary school.

To join you must be prepared to attend training courses where you would recieve a 'blow to the head' to make sure you're ready for action. No people with mental illness, including homosexuality. It's okay to have doubts about the cause, your older buddy would ensure that your questions are fully answered. Must be white British and willing to participate in action; failure to participate will mean eventual expulsion. Failure to observe a strict dress code would result in a warning then expulsion.

Doesn't sound very appealing to me but then I suppose I'm not their target.

Been saying this for years now, if you didn't look at the names and just looked at their attitudes towards various areas of society and their ideas for dealing with them, the far right and Islamic extremists have far more in common than they do things which divide them,
I'm surprised they don't get on better.

Because if any such 'far left' group which either did or actively encouraged such things existed, then I would want them banned too.

Now, about the extremists who actually do such things....

If the Islamic nutters cut them a bit of slack over the booze then they would be nigh on indistinguishable in their hate.
