"Alan Carr says he didn't want to throw Justin Lee Collins under the bus" Which considering JLC pushed his then girlfriend into oncoming traffic...is a slight faux pas.

He claimed JLC was in a toxic relationship. ...as if that explains harrassment and abuse. JLC also called it toxic....he was the toxin not his unfortunate ex.

The comic was sentenced to 140 hours community service in October 2012 after being found guilty of harassment causing fear of violence.

The court heard Collins had waged a “campaign of abuse” against Ms Larke, keeping a dossier of her past sexual experiences, spitting in her face and making her sleep facing towards him. During the trial, a recording of one of Collins’ arguments with Ms Larke was played out in which he called her a “****ing slag” and a “dirty, vile whore.”

Have you got a link to these comments? I'm not sure I share your outrage without reading further.

To the OP, with respect, it helps to give a link as it puts things in context.

Failing to see anything controversial in that at all. They were very good friends, that wouldn't necessarily change because of the incident.

Good people do find themselves in toxic relationships sometimes, especially when there are issues. I do remember thinking WTF when they posed for fameflynet on holiday, something odd here, so disrespectful. I hope he's in a better place now.

Certain people bring out the worst in each other. This is what Alan is saying.

THete were rumours on here several years ago that they werent THAT close.

They certainly dont seem to have kept in touch, even before the JLC scandal
