Hearing the really sad news that ex-GWR presenter Dave Barratt has passed away.

That is sad news. He can't have been very old. Do you know if he'd been ill?

Sorry to hear this. Dave's phone-in on GWR was one of the first radio shows I can remember listening to, and played a big role in igniting my interest in the radio industry.

Sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I didn’t hear him until GWR networked him on Sunday nights on Classic Gold in the 90s (I think 96 or 97) although I had already heard his name by reputation.

I was pleased he joined Talk Radio during 1999 and was disappointed when he left. A shame he didn’t join the station earlier.

I think it was him on on “The Why Files.”

Many happy memories of working with the lovely Dave Barratt, an amazing man who shall be missed by so many. I hope he finally finds out what's really happening in those Why Files!

BBC Wilts report he's sadly died of a heart attack.
