The trams are a billion quid embarrassment, hardly used by locals and tourists, the people of culture we see are Romanian and Bulgarian beggars and they are everywhere, Scotland is not a thriving paradise its a financial mess, the police force is a demoralised mess, the ohs under the SNP has deteriorated to the point that many good staff have left, the hospitals are badly managed and our own royal infirmary at little France is a dirty rat infested joke.
Edinburgh for its residents is an expensive filthy hovel, the streets are dirty, the schools are unsafe to the point a child died because funding for school repairs was diverted to help the tram project, the Edinburgh/Scotland you speak of is a myth and please don't believe that so called xenophobia does not exist in Scotland because it does and its very in your face from some quarters, Scotland is in tatters, in fact I would take North Korea over the SNP nightmare.
A fair point about racism is that I have only experienced it from SNP swivel eye loons at work,”
I think Edinburgh might be the jewel in the crown if friends of mine are anything to go by. The guy is of Scottish descent with relatives living there when he and his wife decided to leave Lincolnshire and migrate. They weren't there that long, in what one might think was a nice area, yet they decided to move; I recall being told the ambition was to get on the dole.
I had an email from them only a few days ago, which said, "If you thing the NHS is bad down there, try coming up here". It then went on to say "They're either alcoholics, junkies or morbidly obese, sometimes all 3 at once. Get them off the booze or drugs and they OD on deep fried mars bars, chocolate pizzas and anything else that can be battered and fried. And then they wash it all down with Irn Bru. The scary thing is I'm starting to think the Scottish accent is normal. Pray for me."
Now that may be OTT but having run a business in Corby, Northants, a massively Scottish town for years, I can appreciate what I'm being told.
Something tells me they may move back.
