Scotland is a thriving paradise, I visited Edinburgh a few weeks ago, people just getting on with their lives, free art galleries and museums, people of all cultures wandering around, free prescriptions, more and more care workers getting the National Living Wage, and excellent tram and transport systems.

Why stop there?

You forgot to mention the free methadone, the religous divide that is often called 'Scotland's Shame', that we're also top of the European table for drug abuse, the transport system almost grinding to a halt in Glasgow city centre to the extent that you'd be quicker walking, the homeless sleeping and begging in shop doorways at almost every corner in Glasgow city centre, the shootings in Shettleson and Pollokshields, etc, Edinburgh also having the highest crime rate in Scotland and the lowest crime detection rate.

Edinburgh's Christmas market is good, though. I was there a couple of weeks ago. Puts that pathetic little carnival in George Square to shame.

I like edinburghs Christmas market. I think Scotland and especially Glasgow has its fair share of problems that our government might eventually get round to tackling if they just stopped concentrating on single issue politics for a few years.

I'd agree. And they wonder why their overall support is starting to fall. I think the less fervent nationalists are even beginning to realise that this govt is more interested in political point scoring that governing for the good of everyone.

I also agree and think that simply branding everyone a Tory who doesn't agree with your brand of politics is getting tiresome. Just as tiresome as blaming everything bad on Westminster.

They do really need to change the record I think, but I think as they have been in power so long they have an air of arrogance, even though they know that they might actually not be doing a lot of things as effectively as they could.

It can't be easy to be the establishment in Scotland while bemoaning the establishment in the UK government and its beginning to show. Id honestly like to see them take some bold progressive steps in Scotland instead of just talking about it.

Well, that is not exactly untrue

Suppose the SNP do field candidates throughout the UK and win a majority. Nicola would presumably still want Scotland outside the UK but within the EU. Would an Independence from the UK referendum be held just in Scotland or throughout the UK? And suppose the Scots said Yes, who would initially be PM of the rest of the UK?

Sorry, but they just piss me off.”

Sorry but that's like me saying the English just piss me off because you voted for a Tory government and then voted Brexit and have become a nation of right wing Fascists.

Neither statement would of course be true.

And Sturgeon could only be PM if she was at Westminster. She is an MSP.

Oh, I think one of them might be a wee bit true, although I wouldn't go as far a Fascist.

Stereotypes are usually incorrect it's a bit like saying all Jocks are piss artists and drug users. Only a tiny bit true of course.

Yes the SNP are showing their true credentials in running a country:

"Scottish economy grows far more slowly than UK as a whole.

Analysis finds Scottish GDP has grown by 4% in cash terms since 2008, compared with 23% for Britain as a whole"
